Brazeau County reduces speed limit in Rocky Rapids

Be sure to ease up on the gas when you are driving through Rocky Rapids.

At Brazeau County council’s July 5 meeting, council voted to reduce the speed limit through the hamlet to 60 km/h. The new speed zone will extend from the eastern boundary of Rocky Rapids to 440 metres west of the intersection of Township Road 500 and Range Road 72.

While they were at it, council also removed the 30 km/h speed zone through Lindale. The speed zone was originally in place for the school, but the school is no longer operational.
