June 30
12:52 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant reported a male and female entering apartment building; the female appeared to be an intoxicated youth. Video provided and viewed by member, unable to identify the persons. Complainant called later after seeing the couple again and advised the female was an adult, she had just looked and acted young earlier
1:19 am – Brazeau County – 502 Twp Rd – Complainant found keys left in mailbox by Whitby Hall, requested police pick them up as they wouldn’t fit in the drop box. Keys picked up, will be dropped off at the post office for hopeful return to owner
9:37 am – Drayton Valley – Power Ctr Blvd – Complainant reported a male and female who had previously caused disturbances and stolen were in a store. The pair were told to leave and argued but eventually left. They will be served trespass notices if they return
11:02 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant called from a neighbouring town reporting her ex is trying to keep their son away from her. Member found no issues; the adult son has developmental disabilities and the complainant appears to have mental health issues
1:30 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Ave – Complainant reported a blonde female threw rocks at her neighbours house while walking by. Members patrolled the area, female not located
1:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complaint reported a male in back stairway of apartment building possibly doing drugs. Member attended but the male had left
2:10 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported her cell phone taken from a restaurant table, now at a location on Range Road 73. When member contacted the complainant she had already arranged to get the phone back, which had been mistakenly taken by an acquaintance.
2:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 41 Ave – open line 911 call received from Telus tower site. Members are aware that Telus is having issues with a phone line at the location. No attendance
2:32 pm – Brazeau County – RR85 – Complainant reports he’s trying to move out and the landlord’s son is yelling and screaming at him. Member attended and kept the peace
3:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 50A St – Complainant reported a male seen stripping wire between the highway and businesses in the area. The unidentified stripper appeared to go to a trailer by one of the businesses, Members investigated and determined unknown person has likely been sleeping in a semi trailer, the business was advised to lock up the trailer to prevent a reoccurrence
5:10 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported a grey Dodge Challenger headed south and driving all over the road, almost hit the ditch. Members located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The female driver claimed to have been driving fine and provided a breath sample which confirmed alcohol wasn’t a factor
5:26 pm – Brazeau County – RR73 – Multiple alarm hits from a residence. Members attended, alarm triggered by owners daughter who had gone to get her bicycle
7:10 pm – Drayton Valley maybe – 911 calls received from a female who is known to make multiple calls to 911 around the province and make nonsensical outrageous complaints. Female not located in the area and generally won’t speak to police in person or advise where she is
7:48 pm – Rocky Rapids – Request to assist RCMP in BC with arresting a male for uttering threats and compelling him to court. Male located and given a court date in BC
7:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave/54 St – Members attended the Coach Motel to assist EMS with a male passerby attacked by a dog. Male taken to hospital for treatment of dog bites, animal control advised
9:40 pm – Brazeau County – Powerhouse Rd – Two complaints received of a truck ramming a gate by the powerhouse. Members attended and located a suspect truck a couple km’s away. Members then located the trucks owner who stated he had been stopped with a friend checking out spots to camp when he heard his truck drive off. He and his friend followed in another truck, locating the first not to far away. Suspect might have left on an ATV. Truck held for evidence exam at owner’s request
July 1
12:46 am – Drayton Valley – Little Lions Park area – Complainant reporting a 1990’s Dodge dually truck driving the area laneways several times. Members attended and patrolled the adjacent streets and laneways, truck not located
1:25 am – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Member on patrol stopped a yellow Avenger after observing erratic driving. The shoeless driver was not impaired, but was prohibited, which resulted in her receiving a Court date and her friends’ car being impounded for 30 days
1:46 am – Drayton Valley – 54 St – Anonymous complaint of loud music from a residence. Member attended and spoke to a male who agreed to turn down the tunes
5:59 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – multiple alarms at the Shell gas station. Employee arriving for work entered the wrong code
7:21 am – Drayton Valley – 47 St – panic alarm triggered at a residence. Alarm apparently triggered accidentally by homeowner
9:34 am – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 502/RR 72 area – Complainant reported the theft of farm equipment, occurred overnight. Under investigation
9:37 am – Brazeau County – area of Willey West – Complainant reported a suspicious grey car with a U-haul attached parked at the top of the hill, possibly camping for free. Member attended, vehicle gone. Unknown driver may have stopped to sleep for the safety of all users of the road
11:05 am – Drayton Valley – Drayton Christian School – Complainant reports extensive spray painted vandalism on school, occurred overnight. Female youth suspect identified, under investigation
1:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 St – Complainant reported a male living in the trees behind her house. Has bikes and boxes laying around and makes lots of noise at night. Member attended and conducted patrols, unable to locate the male or the stuff as described
2:23 pm – Brazeau County – RR75 – Complainant requested a welfare check on his daughter. Complainant reports he has a custody agreement but that it’s not police enforceable, his ex keeps rescheduling exchanges. Member attended and confirmed the girl was fine, complainant updated
4:48 pm – Brazeau County – RR75 – Complainant reports her ex (complainant in above file) is calling and texting her non-stop, requests police tell him to stop. Member contacted the male and advised him he should stop what he is doing and deal with custody issues in family court.
5:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 St – Third party complaint of a possible domestic situation. Members attended, female reports she is moving out and that her male roommate has been yelling at her. Male stated he is trying to get her to leave due to non-payment of rent and unsavoury persons coming to the house. No offence, male advised to stay in his room until she is done packing
6:37 pm – Drayton Valley – Frank Maddock HS – Complainant reported spray painted vandalism to front door of school. Under investigation, suspect identified
8:00 pm – Brazeau County – RR 71 – Complainant reported a male in a black Ford Tempo, wearing a straw cowboy hat sitting south of Hwy 624 for a few hours. Members attended but the driver had upped his tempo and left the area
7:09 pm – Lodgepole area – Complainant reported theft of cable from a lease site
9:54 pm – Drayton Valley – Hospital – Complainant reported her husband had “gone for a walk” from the hospital and not returned. Members located the male on the afternoon of the 2nd, he was fine
10:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave/54 St – Members attended to assist EMS with a bicycle vs pickup collision. Cyclist suffered minor injuries, incident under investigation
11:04 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 St – Complainant reported that her cousin let himself in the basement of her house, and that she didn’t want him there. Members attended and the male agreed to leave. Members transported him to another location
July 2
2:12 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Ave – Report of a 911 call, only static heard, line originating from a business. Members have dealt with this multiple times recently; phone line issues likely due to excessive recent moisture. No attendance made
4:48 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Ave – a repeat of the above file
9:56 am – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge – Complainant reported a hit and run; blue Hyundai with Nova Scotia plate hit his trailer hitch. When complainant got out other driver began swearing at him and then drove off. While on line the suspect returned, showed the complainant his middle finger and then drove off again. Under investigation
12:20 pm – Brazeau County – static line 911 call from a rural location. No attendance made, multiple issues with such calls caused by excessive moisture
1:45 pm – Drayton Valley – While investigating an unrelated matter, allegations were made by a suspect being spoken to by police that they had been victim of physical assaults by two extended family members. Under investigation
1:45 pm – Brazeau County – RR 73 – Open line 911. Member investigated and confirmed it had been a pocket dial
4:16 pm – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge – Complainant reported being threatened by a family member. Under investigation.
6:02 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Police received a report of a child welfare concern. Members attended and spoke with the complainant’s and the kids. The investigation is continuing.
6:36 pm – Brazeau County – 64 street – Vehicle involved in the earlier hit and run located at a residence. Members attended and identified the owner of the blue Hyundai. Hyundai was not registered, license plate on it seized and further charges are pending.
10:42 pm – Brazeau County – Highway 620 – Complainant called police advising he was out fishing north of the dam and had got his truck stuck and was not able to get a hold of his wife. Members contacted the complainant’s wife who went and saved him.
11:11 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 street – Members were dispatched to a possible impaired driver leaving the Oil Country Tap House. Members made patrols, but did not locate the truck.
July 3
00:25 am – Brazeau County – RR 80 – Complaint received of cars racing up and down RR 80 for the past 2 nights. Patrols made, not vehicles at the time but noticeable tire marks on the highway from stunting. Increased patrols will be made on the RR.
00:55 am – Drayton Valley – 52nd Ave – While on foot patrol near the Derrick Lounge a member noticed a male in his running vehicle with an open can of beer in the centre console. Breath sample form the male driver demanded. Driver failed to provide a sample and was issued provincial roadside sanctions for impaired driving.
01:14 am – Drayton Valley – 53 avenue – Police received a report of an assault on adults by a group of youth. Members then received a second call of fighting between 2 house parties with the under age drinking house party being the aggressor’s. Members attended and told the parties to move back inside and all under age individuals to leave. Members continue to investigate.
02:16 am – Drayton Valley – 53 avenue – Complainant called police reporting her intoxicated brother was making noise, waking up her child and arguing with their mom. Prior to police attending her brother left the apartment.
04:21 am – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Complaint received of a male sleeping in his car at the Fas Gas pumps. Members attended and located the car at pump 3. Alcohol Breath test done with the male and he was sober. Male told to leave the pumps.
09:25 am – Drayton Valley – 50 street – 911 received of a male causing a disturbance at the dollar tree. Male was banging on the windows and asking customers and the cashier for money. Members attended located the male in the back alley. Male told not to go to the dollar tree.
10:19 am – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Members dispatched to a male passed out on the sidewalk at the Shell. Members attended and located one of our homeless males who said he was just having a nap. Male encouraged to go sleep somewhere more private.
11:56 am – Drayton Valley – 47 street – Members dispatched to a complaint to a domestic assault. Members attended and determined no assault took place, parties separated for remainder of the day.
4:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – 911 received of a male assaulting another male near the aspen liquor store. Members attended and located both males. Males determined to be brothers and both were highly intoxicated. The brothers advised that they had gotten into an argument that turned into a fist fight and one had lost. Mutual fight and neither wanted charges. Member bought both male a Gatorade to assist with their coming hangover and dropped them off at the shelter pods.
5:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 street – Members received a complaint of individuals causing issues at the shelter pods. Police attended, it was the 2 individuals that had just been dropped off. Both were told not to cause problems with people passing by.
7:41 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 street – Members received a report of 2 males near her property acting aggressive. Members attended, they were the same two males who were waiting for the shelter pods to open at 8:00 pm.
7:43 pm – Drayton Valley – Drayton Valley – 54 street – Members received a call about 2 suspicious male hanging around a property. They walked away when the complainant drove by. Members attended, they were the same 2 males that had been dropped off at the shelter pods and were waiting for them to open at 8:00. Member directed them back to the pods as they were opening momentarily.
9:26 pm – Drayton Valley – Power Centre Boulevard – Members were dispatched to a call of an aggressive male and female at Walmart. Male and female left prior to police arrival.
9:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 street – Vehicle stop conducted on a vehicle who’s registered owner was wanted on warrant. Driver of the vehicle was the registered owner and he was arrested on his warrants. 2 more individuals in the vehicle were also found to be wanted on outstanding warrants and were arrested. As search of one of the males on warrant was conducted and a significant amount of fentanyl was located on them. As a result a 38 year old from Drayton valley has been charged with Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of Trafficking.
July 4
07:05 am – Drayton Valley – 50 street – EMS called police requesting assistance with a male at 7-11 who stated he had gotten jumped. Members attended, male was the same individual who had been fighting with his brother the evening before and spent the night at the shelter pods. Injuries were from consensual fight with his brother. Male did not want any charges and any police involvement.
10:15 am – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Members received a call for a well being check on a 50 year old female who had not been seen for 3 days. Members attended residence, no answer at the door. Door was breached and members located the female on the floor unconscious but breathing. EMS called who attended and transported the female to the hospital.
12:36 pm – Brazeau County – RR 91 – Police received a report of an attempted break and enter in progress. Female called police advising she had chased 2 trucks away from her property as they were trying to unlock her gate. Members located one of the trucks, truck was owned by an oilfield company and the occupants worked for that company. Upon police advising the complainant who the individuals were and who they worked for the complainant realized they were lawfully at her property doing work on the lease site.
12:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 street – Complaint received about two unwanted females outside her house refusing to leave. Members attended and located 1 of the females. Female was wanted on an outstanding warrant so was arrested and held for a judicial interim release hearing.
1:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Complaint received of an erratic driver in a lifted for Ford pick up truck. The responding member located the vehicle and spoke with the owner who advised he had to swerve to avoid a different vehicle that was driving recklessly which may have prompted the call about him.
1:37 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 avenue – Parking lot collision reported to police. Statements completed and damage sticker issued.
2:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 street – Police were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Drayton Valley. Complainant advised her ex is not handling the break up well, yelling and throwing items. Members met with both parties and encouraged them to work on resolving their issues civilly.
9:58 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of alleged child abuse. Investigation is continuing.
10:35 pm – Brazeau County – RR 80 – Report received of 2 vehicles racing on RR 80. No description provided as complainant only heard them. Members made patrols but did not locate anyone in the area.
July 5
07:42 am – Drayton Valley – 51 avenue – Complaint received of a male sleeping in the Royal Bank vestibule. Members attended and located one of our homeless males. Members woke him up and requested he leave. Male encouraged to take advantage of the town shelter pods and to sleep there.
08:44 am – Brazeau County – Police received a complaint about possible child abuse. RCMP continue to investigate.
09:09 am – Drayton Valley – Becket Road – Complaint received of suspicious of suspicious activity outside the complainant’s residence. Complainant reported that her neighbor was acting suspicious, had a large quantity of copper wire. Members attended and spoke with the neighbor who is know to police. Investigation into the copper wire is continuing.
11:08 pm – Brazeau County – Township 480 – Complaint received of an attempted fraud. Complainant was asked for card details, and SIN. Complainant did not give nay of that out.
11:16 am – Brazeau County – Members received a complaint about harassing communications. Investigation is continuing.
12:41 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 avenue – Complaint received of a truck being stolen. Complainant advised his 2002 white and green Dodge ram was stolen overnight. Investigation is continuing.
5:09 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Police were dispatched to a commercial alarm. Members attended, the back door was not shut properly triggering the alarm.
7:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Police were dispatched to an unwanted male in the bathroom at the Independent Grocery Store. Male has been in the bathroom for over an hour. Members attended and located the male in the bathroom. Male stated that constipation was the reason for his extended restroom visit. Member recommended the male pick up a jug of prune juice on his way out to remedy the situation.
8:16 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 avenue – Complainant called police reporting 2 individuals were dumping garbage in their back yard. Complainant yelled at the suspects who then picked up the garbage and left. Member made patrols in the area for the 2 individuals but was unable to locate them.
9:45 pm – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Members received a complaint of 2 unwanted males at the coach motel refusing to leave. Males had previously broken into the laundry room at the motel. Members attended and located the 2 brothers who had caused such an issue’s on July 3rd. Brothers again highly intoxicated. Both arrested for public intoxication and lodged in RCMP cells until sober.
July 6
01:32 am – Drayton Valley – 49 street – Police received a 911 of a domestic assault in progress. Police attended and located a female with visible injuries. The male common-law spouse was arrested for assault causing bodily harm and held for a Judicial Interim release hearing.
01:39 am – Drayton Valley – 48 street – Police were dispatched to a 911 complaint of youth hanging around his house screaming and disturbing his dogs. Reports there are about 5 or 6 of them, believes they are 17-18 years old. Members unable to attend at the time due to being at the priority domestic dispute. Attended later in the night but youth had all left.
04:02 am – Drayton Valley – 54 street – Complainant called police about suspicious people in his neighbor hood with night vision goggles. Members attended, the suspects had all left.
10:47 am – Brazeau County – 494 Township – Complaint received of a stolen vehicle. Complainant had their work truck broken into in Buck Creek and her personal vehicle keys taken. The thieves then drove to her work and stole her car. Car stolen is a silver BMW 323i.
11:49 am – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Scotia bank called about a homeless male hanging out in the bank parking lot harassing customers. Members attended and located the male. Members asked male to leave, which he did with no issue.
12:59 am – Brazeau County – RR 72 – Call received of a suspicious vehicle in the complainant’s field. Members attended and located the truck. Driver of the truck advised he was out checking cows, he is a new employee of the individual who leases the land.
1:42 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Members were dispatched to a male passed out outside the Dollarama with an object up his nose. Member attended and spoke with the male who stated he was tired and just had a nose bleed. Member requested male move on from sleeping on the sidewalk.
2:50 pm – Drayton Valley – RR 85 – Members were called to a suspicious person on RR 85. Complainant witnesses and individual crawl under a locked gate and unlock it form the inside and then drove into the driveway. Members attended, it was the homeowner’s daughter who was not able to open the gate from the outside so she crawled underneath to open it from the inside.
4:10 pm – Drayton Valley – RR 80 – Police received a call for an abandoned vehicle. Members attended, truck was stolen and was the same vehicle that had fled from members attempting a traffic stop earlier in the day. Truck held for forensic analysis.
4:44 pm – Brazeau County – Members received a complaint of a fraud. Complainant advised that he had attempted to purchase a truck from a male from Leduc, but the male left with his deposit and did not give him the truck. Members following up, Investigation is continuing.
8:16 pm – Brazeau County – Highway 22 – Members received a complaint about an erratic driver. Members made patrols but did not locate the truck. Complainant had obtained the license plate of the truck which came back to a business. Owner of the business notified who advised he would deal with his employee.
8:26 pm – Drayton Valley – Highway 22 – Members received a call from a female expressing mental health concerns for her boyfriend, worried he was going to harm himself. Members located the boyfriend who expressed he was not going to harm himself, just needed some space.
8:37 pm – Drayton valley – 54 avenue – Complaint received of harassing communications. Complainant called police advising her neighbor will not stop messaging her asking her to come over. Members spoke to the male, advised him to stop calling.
9:24 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 avenue – members were dispatched to a mental health call, complainant was concerned a male was going to harm himself. Members attended and spoke with the male. Members determined there was no immediate risk of harm and mental health referrals completed.
9:30 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 street – Members received a tip on the possible location as a previously stolen Kayak. Members went to the location and spoke with the residence who advised the kayak was not there and had nothing to do with it. The residence allowed members to look thorough his place and no kayak was there.
