Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. It provides easy access to Online Crime Reporting, Crime Mapping, Detachment information, Project Lock Up, Crime Stoppers, as well as RCMP news and social media accounts.
Surveillance Camera Registry – If you have a surveillance system at your home or business, you can register it with the Drayton Valley RCMP to help officers identify locations that may have valuable evidence to aid in investigations. June 9
9:17 am – Drayton Valley – Canada Post Parking lot – Police received a call about a dog left in a vehicle. Police attended and the owner of the dog was back in the vehicle, had just run inside for a quick errand. Temperature was 10 degrees outside, dog not in distress and was at no risk of being in distress.
10:51 am – Drayton Valley – Member received a complaint of harassing communications by an ex boyfriend. Members spoke to both parties and advised the ex not to communicate unless it’s arranging child custody.
11:22 am – Brazeau County – Report received of threats. One male arrested and held for a bail hearing. Justice released male on conditions.
11:37 am – Brazeau County – Members received a lost wallet complaint.
11:38 am – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Motor vehicle collision reported at 50 st and 52nd ave. Complainant was rear ended while parked at the red light. Collision statements completed and damage stickers issued.
2:38 pm – Drayton Valley – Canadian Tire – Manager of Canadian tire reporting a theft. Video surveillance reviewed and investigation is continuing.
2:41 pm – Drayton Valley – Canadian Tire – Manager from Canadian reported than an individual banned from the store has come in. Members aware of the individual. He departed prior to police attendance.
3:00 pm – Drayton Valley – Walmart – Police were dispatched to a complaint of a known male shop lifter at Walmart. Walmart’s loss prevention officer was able to obtain the license plate and description of truck leaving. Male was linked to shop lifting complaints in Red Deer, Camrose, Wetaskiwin, Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, St. Albert, Leduc and Edmonton. Drayton Valley RCMP attempted to intercept the truck but were unable to locate it. Information shared with Evansburg RCMP who located the truck near Entwistle on highway 22. A male from Edmonton was arrested and charged for theft from Walmart as well a driving while unauthorized. He was found to be wanted out of 4 other Central Alberta jurisdictions. All warrants executed and the male held for a Judicial Interm release hearing.
3:54 pm – Brazeau County – Highway 22 – Violation ticket issued for operating a motor vehicle without valid registration.
5:03 pm – Parkland County – Township 514 – Police received a complaint form a female who believed her ex husband had been following her from Redwater. Plate of the vehicle was obtained and police were able to confirm that the vehicle behind her was not her ex-husbands.
6:12 pm – Drayton Valley – Madsen Avenue – Police were dispatched to a complaint of mischief to a vehicle. Complainant advised that their back window had been smashed out. Members attended, surveillance footage available in the area and was requested. Investigation is continuing.
6:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 52nd street – Police received a report of a theft from the library. A female went into the restricted area of the library and took a dell lap top. Investigation is continuing.
6:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 42 avenue – Police received a 911 call that a baby fawn had been left by it’s self for 4 hours and has not moved from the spot it was left at. Members attended and explained that this is nature and to leave the fawn alone as its mother is likely near by.
8:09 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Members dispatched to a male sleeping in the corner of a parking lot. Police attended and located the male. He advised he was enjoying the sun and taking a nap. Police requested he move along as it is private property.
10:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 50A Street – Report of a male in a business yard. Member attended and located male who was advised to stay out of private property.
11:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 avenue – Police received a complaint of a missing 14 year old boy. Complainant’s son had left about 45 min earlier and not returned. While members were preparing to begin searching the boy returned.
June 10
04:01 – Drayton Valley – 47 street – Police received a complaint about suspicious activity. Complainant had just returned home and the lights were on in her attached garage. Complainant advised she never leave the lights on. Complainant did not see or hear anything. Members followed up, nothing taken, lights most likely just left on.
10:14 am – Brazeau county – Hwy 39 – Complainant reporting they were travelling on Hwy 39 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
10:14 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of an attempted theft of catalytic converter. Thieves had left a flashlight behind. Exhaust is in pieces.
11:57 am – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Report of trespassing. Evicted tenant has returned and is yelling at the manager. Member attended, individual had left prior to arrival.
12:25 pm – Brazeau County – RR 55 – Report of a neighbour dispute in which threats were uttered. Complainant did not wish anything done, just documented.
1:13 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of a fraud. Complainant had attempted to change plan through Telus, then received a text message stating they were eligible for a refund. The text included a link which the complainant opened. The link sent them to a bank selector which they chose their bank, answered the security questions and entered bank account information. Bank informed and no money lost.
2:23 pm – Parkland county – RR 52 – Report received of an abandoned 2006 Ford F350, white in colour. Vehicle is missing the box. Member attended, vehicle stolen out of Leduc on May 11.
4:42 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Report of assault received. One youth kicked the other in the head due to youth talking trash about their home life. Matter to be dealt with through the school.
5:27 – Drayton valley – 50 Avenue – Report of an unwanted male outside 7-11. Members attended and spoke with male who left on there own.
8:50 pm – Tomahawk – complainant reporting they have information regarding their stolen property
10:39 pm – Brazeau county – RR 65 – Complainant reporting their ex has attended the property to remove items. Member attended and advised all parties that the division of property is a civil matter and needs to be dealt with through the court.
June 11
12:31 am – Brazeau County – Request to assist EMS at a quad rollover. Members attended along with Fire Department. Individual had minor injuries and was very agitated. Rollover occurred on private property.
2:07 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of a loud party for several hours. Members attended, no occupants. No signs of a party.
4:28 am – Drayton Valley – 911 hang-up received. Members attempted to locate individual who had called, however, no information had been given.
6:52 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting they were harassed by individual while they were delivering papers. Member spoke with both parties.
7:56 am – Brazeau County – RR 65 – Report received of an unwanted male. Ex is outside the residence loading items up. Members attended, related to previous report of ex attending residence. Members once again advised all parties that the division of property had to be dealt with in the proper manner. One party charged with assault.
10:46 am – Drayton Valley – 911 hang-up received from Hospital. Ongoing issue.
12:15 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report received of a suspicious vehicle. Red Dodge Truck had pulled up by the house on a lease road. Driver was working on truck as it was having mechanical issues. Members attended and located male with vehicle.
2:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Request to conduct a wellbeing check on individual who was travelling and has not yet arrived. Members attended and located individual who had arrived 45 minutes previously and had not called.
5:07 pm – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Report received of an assault. Former tenants had attended and wanted to gain entry to a room. When advised they were not allowed as they had been previously evicted, a male punched complainant in the face.
5:49 PM – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a female walking on the highway. Member attended location, female not located.
6:46 pm – Brazeau County – Request for members to call ex to advise if ex attends property tomorrow with new boyfriend for custody exchange they will charge them with trespassing. Member spoke with both parties and attempted to mediate the exchange, however neither party was willing to negotiate. Ongoing history of both parties calling police on the other during child exchanges.
7:14 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Report of a 911 hang-up received. Ongoing issue. Member attended, no issues.
10:17 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report received of an erratic driver. Small dark coloured car had drifted into their lane causing the complainant to swerve out of the way to avoid a collision. Member patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
11:04 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of a suspicious vehicle. White CHEVY/GMC truck is parked on the road. Female who is emotional is jumping in and out of the truck. Members attended and located vehicle. Registered owner called who picked vehicle up. Stated their son had borrowed the vehicle the previous day.
11:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Report received of hitting a fox. Member attended to remove fox from road.
June 12
2:42 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Report received of a loud party. Members attended and spoke with occupants who were advised to shut the party down and turn the music off.
9:03 am – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Report received of taking a motor vehicle without consent. Matter is still under investigation.
June 13
1:47 am – Drayton Valley – 38 Avenue – Report received of a suspicious vehicle. Occupants are yelling. Members attended, vehicle was gone prior to arrival. Patrols in area made, vehicle not located.
9:31 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a two vehicle collision. No injuries
10:55 am – Drayton Valley – Canadian Tire – Report received of a shoplifter. Suspects left in a Blue Pontiac. Member observed vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Two individuals arrested, one male and one female. Stolen items recovered along with a quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Both held for a Bail hearing.
11:43 am – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting they were westbound on Twp Rd 494 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
2:14 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting they were driving on Twp Rd 500 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
3:32 pm – Brazeau county – RR 66 – Report received of an erratic driver in a Trican Well services truck. Vehicle had almost run complainant off the road. Company called and will handle issue internally.
4:38 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting an erratic driver in a Dodge truck. Vehicle turned onto a lease site and had two lawn mowers in the back. Member patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
10:15 pm – Brazeau County – RR 73 – Request to assist Fire department with trailer fire. Members attended, owner had extinguished fire.
10:22 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a stolen vehicle. Owner observed vehicle crashing into a tree in parking lot. Vehicle heavily damaged.
10:31 pm – Brazeau county – RR 81 – Complainant reporting individual missing. Individual had gone to Edmonton and had not returned. Complainant called back later to advise that individual was fine, they had lost their phone.
June 14
4:18 am – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Report of a dispute received. All parties were uncooperative. Investigation ongoing.
8:01 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report received of a suspicious male on a bike with a small trailer. Male was acting erratically. Members patrolled the area, male not located.
8:06 am – Brazeau County – Report of vandalism to a lease site. Power cables to pump jacks were cut.
8:38 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a theft from the Ramada Hotel. Television, iron and small dresser stolen from room. Male and female suspects.
10:06 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – 911 open line. Members attended location, no issues, appeared to be a problem with the phone line.
11:10 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report of squatters on condemned property. Refusing to leave. Health inspector had attended previously and posted notice of condemnation. Member spoke with inspector who advised the individuals are being given time to fix deficiencies.
11:19 am – Drayton Valley – Request received to serve subpoena on individual for court in Edmonton.
12:57 pm – Tomahawk – Report of a family dispute over a house purchase. Complainant advised it was a civil matter and provided information on obtaining a restraining order.
2:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report received of a assault which occurred in February. Member contacted the complainant who advised that no assault occurred
4:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Members on patrol observed a suspicious vehicle. Plate did not match vehicle. Traffic stop attempted, vehicle fled. Vehicle located shortly after and two males apprehended after a short foot chase. A 27 year old male was arrested and charged with numerous weapon and drug offences as well as outstanding warrants. He was remanded. Second male released on conditions.
4:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – 911 open line, second call received from same address. Ongoing issues with phone line.
9:41 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report received of a disturbance at 7-11. Argument occurring outside the store. Members attended, one party had left prior to arrival. Courtesy ride given to other party.
10:09 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – 911 open line, ongoing issues
June 15
2:34 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – 911 open line, ongoing issues.
7:15 AM – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a male sleeping in the vestibule of the bank. Door chained up so no one can enter. Member attended and located known male who was arrested on outstanding warrants and released. Male left shortly after.
9:36 am – Drayton Valley – Report received of shoplifting. Suspects stole a kitchen aide pasta roller and deadbolt. Items wee stolen on Saturday. Matter is under investigation.
12:30 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 Street – Report received of a break and enter overnight. Door forced open and TV missing. Members attended. Matter under investigation.
6:30 pm – Brazeau County – RR 75 – Report received of a possible assault. Information came from a third party. Members attended and separated all parties.
7:53 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of a possible impaired driver. Male driving a black SUV was speeding through the trailer park. Complainant approached driver and advised them to slow down as there are children playing nearby. Male began harassing complainant. Members attended and located driver who was intoxicated. 24 hour driving suspension issued.
9:44 pm – Parkland County– Report received of an individual driving without a licence. Member attended location and spoke with driver who has a valid licence.
June 16
Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report of a breach of release order.
5:00 am – Drayton Valley – Multiple 911 hang-up calls received. Member attended and spoke with the individual who was having issues with their phone. No emergency.
