Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. It provides easy access to Online Crime Reporting, Crime Mapping, Detachment information, Project Lock Up, Crime Stoppers, as well as RCMP news and social media accounts.
Surveillance Camera Registry – If you have a surveillance system at your home or business, you can register it with the Drayton Valley RCMP to help officers identify locations that may have valuable evidence to aid in investigations. April 21
06:20 am – Brazeau County – Highway 620 – Police received a call of an injured deer on Highway 620. Police attended and put the deer down.
07:13 am – Drayton Valley – 52 street – Police received a 911 call of a robbery with a firearm. A female victim called 911 reporting that a female attacker had a gun pointed at her. Police attended and after an investigation arrested and charged female with Robbery with a firearm and additional weapon charges. An additional male was also charged with weapon offences related to this occurrence. Third male was arrested and charged with obstruction as well as outstanding warrants from several jurisdictions. All were held for bail hearings and remanded into custody.
08:50 am – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of dangerous driving. Drayton Valley bylaw reported a male in a silver Toyota car driving dangerously. Male known to police and police following up.
10:47 am – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Local business called in to report a theft of bottles. Male suspect was then found turning the bottles in at the bottle dept. Owner of business not want male charged, just spoken with. Police following up to speak with the male.
11:18 am – Drayton Valley – Madsen Avenue – Male reported that while at the Drayton Valley Hospital his mother approached him and made death threats to him. Members following up.
11:19 am – Drayton Valley – 47 avenue – Complainant called police to report that someone had broken into the side door of their garage in the past week. Nothing missing from the garage. Members attended and photographed the damage. Investigation continuing.
2:08 pm – Brazeau County – Highway 620 – Deer Collison – Complaint contacted police and advised he was travelling south on highway 620 when Billy the Buck came out of no where and ran into the side of their vehicle. Collision statement completed.
4:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 street – Neighbour dispute reported to the police. Complainant reported to police that they believe their neighbours are recording them on their phone. Dispute stems from neighbors calling bylaw on theirs dogs. Complainant only wanted the report on file.
4:19 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting suspicious vehicle on lease site. Possibly related to a break and enter to lease site in area. Members attended area and located vehicle. Three youth were in vehicle. Had been trying out their new SUV in the mud. Nothing suspicious.
5:32 pm – Brazeau county – Highway 22 – Driving complaint called in on highway 22 north bound. Complainant advised that dark green Honda “pimped out drifter car” was traveling at a high rate of speed passing on a double solid. Members made patrols but were unable to find this fast and furious wannabe.
8:37 pm – Drayton Valley – Poplar ridge – Members dispatched to assist EMS with an intoxicated female having seizures. EMS requested assistance as there were children in the residence. Members attended, intoxicated female was babysitting children. Children’s mother called and advised to pick up them up as their current sitter was in no state to care for them.
8:45 pm – Brazeau County – Range Road 84 – Members requested to do a well being check on a male. Members attended and the male was fine.
10:02 pm – Brazeau County – Members called to a domestic dispute at a residence. Members attended and arrested and charged a male for assault.
April 22
06:32 am – Brazeau County – Highway 621 – Members dispatched to a semi truck roll over on highway 621. Members attended, no one was injured. Company made arrangements for tow and got truck back on its wheels.
09:08 am – Drayton Valley – Madsen Avenue – 911 from the Drayton Valley hospital. Nothing heard or said. Constant issue at the hospital. No emergency.
11:45 am – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Local hotel contacted police to request assistance in removing a female who was refusing to check out. Members attended and the female was packing her stuff and leaving.
1:05 pm – Parkland County – Report of a family dispute. Caller wanting to report that their child is not being treated well by other parent. Both parties spoken to and advised it is a civil matter. Nothing physical.
7:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of harassment near the Dollarama. Complainant advised that ex’s girlfriend keeps flipping her off. Has been going on for the past year. Member made several attempts to contact complainant without success.
7:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of harassment in front of liquor store. Known female is yelling obscenities and pulled down her pants. Ongoing harassment for several years. Member attended location, several attempts to locate suspect were made with negative results.
7:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Members located known female wanted on outstanding warrants. Female held for hearing and released by justice.
10:19 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no insurance.
April 23
12:05 am – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Noise complaint received. Jacked up Chevrolet truck with loud exhaust has been circling the block and revving their engine. Members made patrols in the area, vehicle not located.
12:11 am – Drayton Valley – Report received of a missing person. Family member has not been heard from in a few days. Members knew whereabouts of family member who was fine.
3:06 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Complainant reporting someone keeps ringing their doorbell. Members attended location, person had left prior to police arrival.
7:52 am – Drayton Valley – Report of two trucks on lease site that shouldn’t be there. Trucks belonged to workers on site. Nothing suspicious.
1:01 pm – Brazeau County – RR 75 – Report of a neighbour dispute. Ongoing issue for several years. Complainant is trying to sell their residence and neighbour is attempting to prevent the sale. Neighbour is sitting on the road outside the residence. Members spoke with complainant and learned that neighbour did not leave their property. Caller advised this is a civil matter.
2:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Caller reporting that delivery van has broken window and feels that this is suspicious. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
11:06 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Members had arrested male and during search for weapons located a small quantity of what appeared to be heroin. Drugs seized and destroyed.
April 24
12:17 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of a possible intoxicated driver received. Male is driving a Black Chevrolet Dually Truck. Members attended area and made patrols. Vehicle not located.
12:53 am – Brazeau County – Report of an intoxicated driver. Vehicle in the ditch. Members attended and located male who was arrested on outstanding warrants. Male refused to provide breath sample and was charged with refusal.
5:09 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Noise complaint received. Dogs barking all night. Members attended residence, no one home. Owner spoken to over phone and advised to get someone to let dogs in.
6:09 am – Brazeau County – Report of a suspicious male dressed in black clothing at a gas plant. Member attended area and made patrols. Male not located.
11:26 am – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Report of harassment ongoing. Caller advised that while they were walking their dog last night two known individuals were watching them. Ongoing for the past year. Member spoke with suspects who advised that they were home at the time of the complaint.
12:16 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Report of a custody dispute. One parent says they will not give child back. Member called and spoke with both parties involved. Advised both that this is a civil matter and needs to be dealt with through their lawyers and courts.
12:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report of squatters in an abandoned trailer. Members attended and located one male who was advised to leave.
8:36 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of Indecent exposure. Ongoing issue between two individuals. Male reporting that female is mooning him repeatedly. Advised that this is not a police matter as she does not expose herself. Male provided information on how to obtain a restraining order. Female spoken to about behaviour.
April 25
12:21 am – Brazeau County – Report of a break and enter in progress to lease site. Member attended, 3 arrested, 2 vehicles towed.
12:40 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of a stabbing received at the OCT. Victim taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries. Suspect is still outstanding at this time.
9:45 AM – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Report received of stolen cheques. Hold has been placed on complainants account. Matter is under investigation.
9:47 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Report received of a suspicious male yelling at the splash park in Drayton Valley. Members attended location and located known male who was experiencing a paranoid episode. Male was asked to stop yelling and he stated he would. No further calls received.
9:55 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Report received of a fraud. Complainant had given a down payment for a puppy as well as pay for shipping. Matter is still under investigation.
12:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – Report received of a suspicious male yelling and causing a disturbance. Members attended and spoke with same male from previous call.
12:54 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of a suspicious male youth. Youth is going door to door asking for bottles. Youth is accompanied by a dark coloured truck. Youth taken to Outreach school. Matter is still under investigation.
1:30 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Report that a camera at the rear of a business picked up a female walking along and checking vehicles.
1:46 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of an assault that occurred at an outdoor party. Matter is under investigation.
1:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a small black pickup had entered the exit at the store. Driver appeared to have been beat up. Matter is still under investigation.
2:42 PM – Brazeau county – complainant was travelling south on Hwy 22 when Bucky Buck came out of the ditch and collided with the vehicle.
3:16 pm – Report received of an erratic driver in a newer black and grey Chevrolet Truck. Vehicle is speeding up and down 62 Street. Member attended location and made patrols in the area, vehicle not located.
5:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Member on patrol observed an individual driving while talking on their cell phone. Traffic stop initiated and driver issued a violation ticket.
5:30 pm – Drayton Valley – MacKenzie Avenue – Report of a 911 open line. Yelling heard in the background. Member attended location and spoke with caller who advised child had been playing with a disconnected cell phone. Parent advised that disconnected cell phones still have the ability to call 911.
7:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a possible stolen truck. Black truck with missing tail gate. Members attended, vehicle not stolen.
April 26
9:09 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Report received of an assault. Member attended location, one male arrested on outstanding warrant from Edmonton. Male also charged with assault.
9:47 am – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – Request to conduct a wellbeing check on individual. Members attended location. Male arrested on outstanding warrants and held for a hearing. Male remanded.
2:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Report of a commercial alarm received. Member attended location, worker had set off alarm.
3:03 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of an individual in distress. Members attended location and located individual who had been feeling overwhelmed and had gone for a walk. Individual was fine.
3:25 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a suspected shoplifter. Member attended, female had paid for items and left the store. No theft.
4:51 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of individual in the bushes using drugs. Members attended and located a well established camp. No one on site.
4:57 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of a missing person. Members were able to advise the caller that the individual was fine.
6:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of vandalism which occurred earlier in the day. Caller reported their 2016 GMC Sierra had been keyed while parked in front of the OCT.
7:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – Caller reported finding a credit card and bank cards.
7:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – report received of a possible intoxicated driver. Members attended, unknown who was driving the vehicle.
11:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Report received of a missing person. Caller advised that they regularly saw and individual in their neighbourhood, however has not seen them in a few days. Today they noted that the door was open. Members attended and occupant advised they had opened the door to cool the residence down.
April 27
1:31 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Members called for a report of an assault. Male and female had been observed walking in the area, female had been yelling. Members patrolled the area, no one located.
2:38 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Report of two individuals entering a residence and punched the complainant in the face. Occurred several days ago. Matter is still under investigation.
7:24 AM – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no registration.
8:46 am – Brazeau county – Complainant attended detachment to report they had been driving on Twp Rd 492 when Bucky came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle. Bucky left the scene and is currently wanted for failing to stop.
9:21 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – After fleeing the above scene, Bucky once again ran into another vehicle, Bucky is Lucky
9:31 am – Brazeau County – 911 open line, voices heard in background sounds like a dispute of some sort. Members attended location, all parties had left prior to arrival. Patrols made for vehicle associated with the complaint, vehicle not located.
11:32 am – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – Report received of a disturbance which occurred the previous day. Member spoke with all parties. Offending party agreed to pay for damages caused during their tirade.
8:41 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Members attended a report of an individual experiencing a crisis. Members attended, individual was intoxicated, EMS attended.
9:18 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of a break and enter to the aquatic center in Drayton Valley. Members were en route when advised it was an employee on site.
April 28
2:02 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no registration.
