Two Drayton Valley residents and a Buck Lake resident have been arrested for breaking into a gas plant.
Edson RCMP report that, on March 22, 2022, they received a report of a break and enter in progress at a local gas plant in Brazeau County. Surveillance showed three males had entered the plant and were damaging it by breaking light towers and cutting hydraulic power cables. The damage was estimated to be more than $5000.
Edson RCMP went down to the scene and found a suspicious vehicle close to the gas plant containing three males. The three males were arrested and RCMP tell us they got a search warrant for the vehicle. Various items, including copper wire, were recovered from the truck.
44-year old Christopher Dobransky and 46-year old Vernon Taylor, both from Drayton Valley, and 68-year old Terry Wager from Buck Lake have each been charged with break and enter, and mischief causing damage to property over $5000.
All three were released on conditions and will be appearing in Edson Provincial Court on May 17, 2022.
