Town of Drayton Valley work crews were busy over the weekend contending with multiple water main breaks.
Crews were out on March 20, repairing the breaks at 5233 – 45 Avenue and 5309 – 54 Street. In a posting on the Town’s Facebook page, Town employees were going door-to-door in those areas, notifying the residents and businesses when their water would be shut off to conduct repairs.
As of the evening of March 20, the water break at 5309 – 54 Street was isolated, with repairs slated to begin on March 21.
Meanwhile, water was restored at 5233 – 45 Ave late on March 20. A boil water advisory was issued for the area until repairs were complete.
There was another break that happened at 5108 – 50 Ave. Repairs were conducted throughout the day on March 20, with water restored at 6:35 p.m. While water was restored, a boil water advisory was issued for 5108 – 50 Ave until repairs were completed.
As of 4 p.m. on March 21, boil water advisories were still in place for the affected regions. Check the Town of Drayton Valley Facebook page for updates.
