February 17
00:01 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant contacted police to report a hit and run to his truck while it was parked at his residence. Members continue to investigate.
04:52 am – Drayton Valley – Members were called out to complete a Next of Kin notification.
11:46 am – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of ongoing harassment from an ex boyfriend. Members continue to investigate.
12:20 pm – Drayton Valley – Members were dispatched to a complaint of an unknown situation at a residence. Female had called the police but could not articulate what was going on. Members attended, located the female very high on methamphetamine. Female also on warrants. Warrants executed.
12:55 pm – Parkland County – Complaint received of threats to a grader operator. A male got out of his vehicle, approached the grader screaming and making threatening gestures towards the operator. Investigation is continuing.
3:54 pm – Brazeau County – Complaint received of shop lifting from Canadian Tire. Police ran the license plate of the vehicle used by the thieves and located her residence. Upon attendance at her residence police located the 2 male thieves hiding in the garage. Males arrested. Males were also identified to be involved in numerous other thefts in the building.
4:57 pm – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of an assault on a female. Members continue to investigate.
9:03 pm – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of a stolen vehicle. Complainant had lent vehicle to a friend who had not returned it. Members attended the friend’s residence and located the vehicle. Male at the residence was found to be on warrant and was arrested. Vehicle returned to the owner.
February 18th
12:50 am – Drayton Valley – Police were dispatched to a complaint of a structure fire at the old power plant. Fire attended and put out the fire.
02:00 am – Drayton Valley – Police received a complaint of a vehicle in the ditch and the driver was refusing any help. Members attended and located an intoxicated female driver. IRS Impaired charges laid against the driver.
05:44 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Complaint received of a stolen Brown 2006 Ford F350. Truck was taken from outside the complainant’s residence during the night. Police continue to investigate.
8:19 am – Drayton Valley – 64 Street – Report of an attempted break and enter to a vehicle overnight. Suspects had attempted to pry the back window. No entry made, nothing stolen. Appears to have happened around 03:00 am.
9:45 am – Drayton Valley – Madsen Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle failing to obey traffic control device. Driver issued a violation ticket.
11:15 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – citizen entered detachment to turn in a VISA card that had wrongfully been put in their mailbox.
2:23 pm – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Complainant reporting a break and enter to basement sometime over the past 3 days. Numerous items stolen.
3:05 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of a two vehicle collision in a parking lot. No injuries.
3:22 pm – Brazeau County – RR 80 – Report of an abandoned vehicle. Black ford Truck is blocking lease road. Members attended, vehicle stolen out of Edmonton. Vehicle towed.
4:43 pm – Lodgepole – Report of a landlord Tenant dispute. Tenant is refusing to leave after being provided an eviction notice. Members advised that this is a civil matter and needs to be dealt with through the landlord/tenant board.
5:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Report received of a possible breach of conditions. Further investigation revealed no order in place, therefore no breach.
6:09 pm – Brazeau County – RR 75 – Report of a suspicious male. Complainant advised they were concerned that someone was going to follow them home from store. A verbal altercation had taken place in the parking lot in which the driver of a white car had started yelling at complainant. Road Rage incident. No further description of vehicle or driver except it was a male.
6:58 pm – Brazeau County – Ongoing issue between two individuals. One individual consistently sends messages to another even thought there are no contact issues in place.
7:46 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complaint received of an unwanted male in the vestibule of the Scotiabank. Members attended and located known male who was sitting in the corner staying warm. Male left upon arrival.
8:00 pm – Violet Grove – Report received of an intoxicated driver. Member located vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Driver advised they had been in an argument with a male earlier in the evening. Members observed injuries to face. Male intoxicated and given impaired sanctions. EMS transported male to hospital for injuries previously sustained
8:01 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Member on patrol observed a Black GMC Yukon stunting in the parking lot of the Omniplex. Driver issued a violation ticket for performing stunt activity.
10:17 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of a known male is pounding on their door. Male left prior to arrival. Members attended and located male
February 19
12:28 am – Drayton Valley – Parkland RCMP requesting assistance in attempting to locate female.
1:36 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Report of a suspicious vehicle on a lease site. Member attended area, unable to locate vehicle.
5:32 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of suspicious activity. Complainant observed an adult male pushing a child’s quad. Quad is pretty beat up.
6:58 am – Drayton Valley – 45 avenue – Report of an intoxicated male in the middle of the road. Male is attempting to hit vehicles as they pass. Members attended and located male who was ordered onto the sidewalk. Male advised he was looking for a job and flagging down vehicles. Members took male back to hotel where he was staying.
10:19 am – Drayton Valley – Report of a custody dispute. Ongoing issue. One won’t let the other pick child up for visitation and is breaching order. Members facilitated custody exchange at the RCMP detachment.
11:59 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report received of an erratic driver in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, black in colour. Vehicle is speeding up and slowing down. Member patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
12:46 PM – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of theft of cheques by family member. Matter is still under investigation.
3:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Request for a wellbeing check on individual who has been shovelings the snow for several hours. Members located individual who was fine.
4:09 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report of a male pushing an orange or red quad in Lion’s park. Male left the quad in the bush. Male described as wearing all black with a backpack. Member attended and conducted foot patrols in area. Male not located
5:26 PM – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of a 2 vehicle accident near the bridge. Members, EMS and Fire attended. Road very icy. 3 occupants transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
5:51 PM – Drayton Valley – 41 Avenue – Abandoned 911 call from tower. Appeared to be a malfunction.
8:37 pm – Brazeau County – Rr 80 – 911 hangup. Members attended and confirmed all ok. Had dialed 911 in error.
9:58 pm – Parkland County – Report of a single vehicle rollover. Members, EMS and Fire Department attended and could not locate vehicle. Extensive patrols made.
February 20
2:46 am – Brazeau County – Rr 73 – Report received of an intoxicated male who is passed out in a snowbank. Members were able to locate male asleep at parents residence.
3:21 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – While searching for male passed out in snowbank, members were called to a second intoxicated male who had passed out in the hallway of hotel. Members attended and helped male into his room. Male was awoken prior to members leaving to locate male in snowbank.
3:32 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of two suspicious trucks in the area, it appeared they were scoping out vehicles on the car lot. Security on site advised the vehicle had taken off.
9:09 am – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Report of a female behaving erratically. Member spoke with female.
10:21 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – 911 call reporting very poor road conditions. Road Maintenance contacted.
11:18 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Report of a suspicious vehicle on lease site. Vehicle is a Blue Mazda. Member contacted registered owner who advised the vehicle had broken down the previous night and they had parked it there out of the way.
12:30 pm – Brazeau County – RR 85 – Complaint received of an attempted break and enter. Complainant stated that someone had attempted to open the front door and then left. Caller suffering from paranoia.
1:56 PM – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no registration.
4:10 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report received of a vehicle in the ditch. Member attended and conducted an impaired test on the driver. Driver blew a fail reading. Vehicle seized for 30 days, and drivers licence suspended for 24 hours.
4:13 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – 911 hangup received. Member called number and spoke with individual who advised they had called to report a vehicle in the ditch.
4:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Report received of a missing female since Friday. Caller reported that daughter has not been seen or heard from and may be staying with friends. Member attempted to contact daughter, phone was off. Member called friends and was given a possible address of where they were staying. Daughter located.
4:31 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report received of a rolled vehicle in the ditch by the bridge. Driver advised they had been travelling eastbound when they hit a patch of ice. Driver taken to hospital as a precaution.
5:29 PM – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – report of a rollover near the bridge. EMS called and driver taken to hospital.
5:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of a breach of conditions. Members contacted complainant, no conditions in place.
5:56 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Report of a dog tied to a tree and is concerned for their welfare as it is cold. Members attended location, no dog located.
6:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Request for members to assist with retrieving belongings. Member attended to assist, however, no one at residence. Will try again another time.
February 21
8:40 AM – Brazeau County – request received to assist EMS with an agitated male. Members attended.
12:22 pm – Brazeau County – RR 65 – Report received of someone entering their property and was now in the shop. Members attended and located one male who was fixing their vehicle. Confirmed that complainant and individual knew each other. No break and enter.
2:20 pm – Brazeau County – Report of a single vehicle collision. Members attended and saw individual standing by the vehicle. Driver had hit an icy patch and gone into the ditch. No injuries.
9:01 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Avenue – Report of a hit and run received. Witnesses stated that they observed a grey Chevrolet SUV who backed into a parked truck. Members notified registered owner of vehicle and advised they needed to report the collision.
10:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Request to conduct a wellbeing check on individual. Members provided a courtesy ride to the hospital.
11:26 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Member on patrol observed a vehicle stunting in the Omniplex parking lot. Driver issued a violation ticket for stunting.
February 22
2:30 am – Drayton Valley – Commercial alarm received. Temperature alarm. Members attended, no signs of break and enter, building cleared. Alarm disabled
2:50 am – Drayton Valley – 63 Street – Report received of a suspicious male wearing a black winter coat, camo pants, staggering on the shoulder. Members patrolled the area and located known male. Courtesy ride given.
7:46 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report received of a single vehicle rollover near the bridge. Driver hit their head, EMS transported to hospital with minor injuries.
9:53 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received that some individuals in a Welding truck had closed the complainants door as they attempted to get out of their vehicle. Two males then proceeded into the hotel.
11:10 AM – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of a two vehicle collision. No injuries
12:14 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of inappropriate behaviour on a school bus. Two boys were harassing a female on the bus. Matter is still under investigation.
12:20 pm – Brazeau county – Rr 91 – Report received of tik tok video that was made and presented ambiguous comments regarding the parenting ability of the complainant. Members spoke with both parties and advised the ex to remove the video.
2:10 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a two vehicle collision. No injuries.
8:05 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of a possible fraud. Complainant sold a phone to an individual in Edson who advised they sent the funds for the phone. Payment shows the payment is delayed.
8:13 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 Avenue – Report received of a cold dog. Complainant advised that the dog had been outside for approximately 15 minutes and they were concerned as it was cold. Member attended and noted that the dog was inside the residence.
8:15 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no registration. Warning issued for failing to stop before entering intersection.
8:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant reporting they received a bill from AHS from being in the hospital in Wetaskiwin for COVID.
9:56 PM – Drayton Valley – Report received of two males on the roof of the high school and attempting to set it on fire. Fire and members attended. No signs of anyone on the roof and no fire located.
11:22 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report received of an erratic driver southbound on Hwy 22 from Rocky Rapids turnoff. A red Chevrolet Malibu was speeding excessively then stopped in the middle of the highway, 2 people jumped out and walked in different directions. Doors to vehicle were left open. Individuals got back into the vehicle and proceeded. Two reports of this incident were received.
11:54 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no insurance.
February 23
12:02 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report received of a dispute. One party threw a bong at the others leg and it broke. Both parties intoxicated. Matter is still under investigation.
10:15 am – Drayton Valley – 53rd Avenue – Report of harassing communications by landlords. Complainant reported that she is being harassed by her landlords about the cleanliness of her apartment and number of guests she is having. Police learned that the property reps have legitimate concerns, are trying to take care of their building.
11:45 am – Drayton Valley – Power Centre Boulevard – Report of a breach of a peace bond. Police investigated and determined that there was no breach.
1:24 pm – Drayton Valley – Industrial road – 911 hang up received. Male caller identified and was dialing 911 to ask about finger printing.
3:34 pm – Drayton Valley – Traffic Collision – Members responded to complaint of party’s yelling after a minor traffic collision. Members attended, kept the peace and provided file numbers for them to report.
4:15 pm – Drayton Valley – Child Custody dispute – Member responded to child custody dispute. Parent do not agree with the decision CFS had made. Parents advised CFS has the authority in this matter and police can not go pick up the child.
4:46 pm – Rocky Rapids – Members responded to a mental health complaint. Female spoken with and information on mental health provided to both parties.
6:31 pm – Brazeau County – Well Being check – Parents requesting a well being check on their daughter. Members attended and daughter was fine.
February 24
00:49 am – Drayton Valley – Complaint of a possible impaired driver following our complainant. Male driver was confronted by friends of the complainant and left. Police patrolled the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
06:32 am – Brazeau County – Injured Deer – Fish and Wildlife requested members assistance with putting down injured Billy Buck who was in the ditch on RR 73. Members attended and dispatched Billy.
