Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. It provides easy access to Online Crime Reporting, Crime Mapping, Detachment information, Project Lock Up, Crime Stoppers, as well as RCMP news and social media accounts.
Surveillance Camera Registry – If you have a surveillance system at your home or business, you can register it with the Drayton Valley RCMP to help officers identify locations that may have valuable evidence to aid in investigations. January 13
10:00 am – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer Court – White 2004 Ford SRW, AB CJP-8455, stolen from outside a residence overnight.
11:13 am – Drayton Valley – 55 Avenue – 2 vehicle collision, no injuries.
11:13 am – Brazeau County – Twp 500 – Report of threatening text messages. Police spoke with involved parties, found the threats to not be criminal in nature.
12:23 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complaint of anti-mask and media stickers placed on stop signs in the community. Members made patrols around and removed the stickers that were located.
2:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 41 Street – Report received of a theft of truck in progress. Police attended, the owner was present and the vehicle was actually for sale and 2 people were looking at it as they were interested.
5:11 pm – Parkland County – Tomahawk – Multiple complaints of 2 people trespassing in an abandoned residence, when police arrived they were no longer there, the two suspects were identified, investigation ongoing.
5:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Call received of copper wire pieces left by the dumpster. Police recovered the wire, no recent reports of cut or stolen wire to determine origin.
5:23 pm – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – During a traffic stop, the passenger was identified as having a warrant. The passenger was arrested and the driver was issued a warning ticket.
6:36 pm – Parkland County – Hwy 759 – Single vehicle rollover due to icy road conditions. Police attended, the driver was not injured.
6:27 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 624 – Traffic stop of a vehicle that was thought to possibly be impaired. No signs of alcohol, but the driver had no insurance or registration and was ticketed for each.
10:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of someone being belligerent with staff and had left before members could arrive.
10:43 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of a domestic dispute, police attended and mediated the situation, no offence took place.
11:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Traffic stop of a vehicle without headlights on, driver was suspended and ticketed and the vehicle seized for 30 days.
January 14
7:06 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Erratic driver, excessive speeds, break checking other vehicles. Police attempted to locate the vehicle with no success. A license plate was provided which belongs to a company. Company contacted.
11:09 am – Drayton Valley – Complaint from hospital advising that a male had ran away from EMS. Members patrolled the area, male not located.
11:18 am – Drayton valley – Complainant advised that their vehicle had been hit while parked in the parking lot at Walmart.
12:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 Street – report of a dispute received. Members attended, dispute is between the landlord and occupants. Advised they needed to go through proper channels in order to evict.
1:38 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Report of an abandoned vehicle in a back alley. Member attended and located vehicle. Member contacted the registered owner, who apologized and moved vehicle.
1:43 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complaint of a two vehicle collision. No injuries.
3:13 PM – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of shoplifting received. Female attempting to leave the store with unpaid items. Female had left prior to arrival but had ditched the items in the store prior to exiting.
3:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Avenue – Driving complaint received. Driver of a white Jeep Cherokee was yelling and swearing at complainant. Member located driver of vehicle who advised they had been looking for an address and complainant thought they were following them.
4:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Report of a break and enter to residence. Over the past week. Member attended the residence. As the place is for sale, family member attended and packed up belongings and stored them. Nothing stolen and no break and enter.
January 15
7:01 am – Lodgepole – Report of a single vehicle rollover. Member contacted the registered owner who advised they had hit ice. No injuries.
10:40 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of a possible stolen debit card. A male and female had entered the store and had attempted to use 2 cards. Both cards were declined.
2:14 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Report of a hit and run. White Volkswagen Golf had fled the scene. Member attended and a short while later received a complaint of a damaged White Volkswagen Golf. Member attended that location. Complainant very intoxicated. Vehicle seized and towed. Drivers licence suspended.
8:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Report of a male inside the ATM vestibule. Member attended, no one there, male likely went to the MAT program.
11:44 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Report of suspicious activity. Garage is open and a white SUV is parked outside with no plate. Loud music playing. Member attended, garage closed, no music heard and white SUV had a valid plate on it.
January 16
1:07 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Request to assist EMS, members attended and located female who was suffering from drug induced paranoia. No issues. EMS not required.
4:10 am – Parkland County – Report of a break and enter in progress. Member attended and cleared the residence, no sign of break and enter.
11:40 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Request to assist EMS. Members attended, occupant in medical distress. EMS attended and occupant transported to hospital.
11:59 am – Drayton Valley – 62 Street – Report of an unknown male using the dumpster.
3:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a breach of a no contact order. Members spoke with complainant, no breach occurred.
3:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Report of threats received from ex. Matter is still under investigation.
4:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 911 hang-up received. Nothing heard. Patrols in area conducted with negative results.
6:32 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Report of an erratic driver in a semi truck towing a tanker trailer. Driver had almost ran complainant off the road. Vehicle not located and no further description provided.
7:43 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Information received regarding male who had ran away from EMS. Members attended and provided male a ride back to the hospital.
8:43 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Member on patrol observed vehicle stunting. Driver issued a violation ticket for same.
11:56 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of an erratic driver. Vehicle has 4 ways on and is speeding and tailgating. Member patrolled area and located vehicle. Driver intoxicated.
January 17
9:15 am – Brazeau County – Twp 502 – Call of a possible theft of vehicle. Members attended, the person was removing a damaged vehicle from the road.
10:09 am – Drayton Valley – 40 Street – Police were called to assist with Municipal Enforcement regarding a vehicle with no plate. The vehicle was parked, members suggested that the owner park it off the street to avoid getting towed.
5:12 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – 2 vehicle collision, no injuries reported, driver’s exchanged information.
5:28 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Multi vehicle collision, semi truck got stuck in the middle of the highway causing 2 other vehicles to collide. No injuries were reported. Poor weather and road conditions were the primary factors in the collision.
7:15 pm – Brazeau County – Twp 483 – Single vehicle collision, vehicle went off the road, now stuck in the ditch. Occupants were all able to get out and leave the scene.
January 18
12:10 am – Drayton Valley – 41 Avenue – Abandoned vehicle in the middle of the road that got stuck. Owner was trying to make tow arrangements.
1:55 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant attended the front door of the detachment and used the phone to report a theft of medication, when members went outside the person was gone. Members attempting to locate the complainant to follow up.
3:13 am – Drayton Valley – Madsen Ave – Police called to assist with a patient at the hospital. Police remained until the patient could be restrained.
6:30 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Members were attended to another call for service when they observed two individuals who were known to be on outstanding warrants for arrest. Both male and female arrested and held for bail hearings. Male remanded.
8:54 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue- Report of an unwanted male with a bat in the ATM vestibule who is refusing to leave. Male was not being aggressive. Members attended, male had left prior to arrival, however was located shortly after walking away. Bat was seized.
9:39 am – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Landlord/Tenant dispute. Former landlord is withholding mail. Members spoke with both parties and arrangements made for complainant to get their mail.
12:49 pm – Drayton Valley – Child welfare concern received. Members attended along with CFS.
12:58 pm – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Report of a dispute, members attended, parties had already separated. Verbal argument.
1:02 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report of a 2 vehicle Collision, no injuries.
6:02 pm – Drayton valley – 49 Avenue – Report of unwanted phone calls received throughout the day. Member advised complainant to block the caller.
9:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Disturbance reported. Female was getting aggressive with staff. Members attended and located known female who was upset that the registers were closed and they wanted to pay for their purchases. Female left the store.
11:16 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Report of underage drinking. Member attended, youth were not drinking alcohol.
January 19
7:32 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Report received of a single vehicle rollover. Member attended and there were no occupants. Member contacted the Registered Owner who confirmed the only person in the vehicle had been a family member, no injuries.
8:04 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received that a bicycle had been left by the dumpster. Black with blue rim on front tire and no seat.
11:01 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of a two vehicle collision. No injuries.
11:15 am – Parkland County – Hwy 624 – Report received that a vehicle had been left abandoned at the intersection of Hwy 624 and Hwy 759. Concerned that someone would slide into it. Member attended and contacted the registered owner who advised a friend had borrowed their vehicle. Vehicle towed
11:58 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – report of an unwanted person. Members attended and transported female to safe place.
12:36 pm – Brazeau County – report received that they were travelling on Twp 491 during the snow storm and went into the ditch. No injuries.
1:22 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a 2 vehicle collision in which one person ran into the back of the other. No injuries.
3:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Request received to check on a vehicle that was observed on 50 Street. Passenger had a small child on their lap. Vehicle is a black and blue car. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
10:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Request to assist with individual who is acting erratically. Members attended and spoke with all parties. Ongoing issue. Male calmed down and stated they would behave themselves.
January 20
2:15 am – Brazeau County – Report of a vehicle on fire. Fire and EMS attended with members. No one trapped inside.
