January 6
8:29 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Homeless person in a vestibule, members attended and they left.
1:13 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Attempted theft of truck overnight. Ignition punched, but suspects unsuccessful in stealing the vehicle.
3:16 pm – Drayton Valley – Pleasant View – Complaint of a person driving their snowmobile in town limits. Suspect spoken to.
4:17 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of uttering threats, domestic related. Investigation ongoing.
4:34 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Call of a dangerous driver in a dark blue Toyota corolla with tinted windows. Vehicle was tail gating, break checking etc. Police patrolled but could not locate the vehicle.
7:04 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of uttering threats. Matter is still under investigation.
7:36 pm – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Police were called to assist Fire and EMS who had been called to a male who was in cardiac arrest from a suspected overdose and when the male regained consciousness refused further medical treatment and left the area. Police patrolled but could not locate the male.
9:51 pm – Drayton Valley – Vehicle suspected to be involved in a robbery located in town, when members attempted a traffic stop it fled the area but members were able to confirm the suspect was not related to the robbery they did not pursue the vehicle.
11:36 pm – Drayton Valley – Omniplex – Report of stunting vehicles in the parking lot. When police attended no vehicles matching the description were present.
11:41 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Possible theft of vehicle, complainant reported that while paying for fuel the truck they were driving drove away, complainant does not own the truck and when questioned for more details the complainant refused to cooperate. Investigation ongoing.
11:52 pm – Brazeau County – RR 91 – Single vehicle collision, vehicle slid off the road, no damage, driver called their own tow.
January 7
12:10 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – 911 hang-up, police attended and confirmed the residents were safe.
1:25 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reports that their $200 was taken by two suspects. The complainant did not actually see them take the money, just suspects it was them.
5:20 am – Brazeau County – Twp 494 – Alarm to a shop at the location. Determined a staff member had set off the alarm accidentally.
6:05 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Semi went off the highway and rolled, driver not injured.
8:34 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a neighbour dispute. Ongoing issue. Member spoke with both parties. Both parties are very uncooperative. This will continue to be an ongoing issue in which police will continue to be called.
10:30 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of an abandoned 2004 Dark Blue Honda Civic. Vehicle had been dropped off there approximately 2 to 3 weeks ago and appears it had been involved in an accident. Member contacted Registered Owner who advised that their name and number was supposed to have been provided to service center.
12:26 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report of a 2 vehicle collision, no injuries.
1:31 pm – Brazeau County – report of a hit and run, unsure where it occurred. Damage to their left front of a 2020 Chevrolet Camaro, red in colour.
4:15 pm – Brazeau County – Single vehicle collision. Vehicle pulled out of the ditch and not driveable. Vehicle is a 2014 blue Volkswagen golf. No injuries
4:32 pm – Drayton Valley area – report received of a missing person who hadn’t been heard from since 1:30 am. Male later located by complainant in Red Deer.
5:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a 2 vehicle collision. No injuries.
6:24 ppm – Drayton Valley – Complainant called to report they found a small rock of what they suspect is crystal meth. Member attended and seized item.
7:42 pm – Caller requests a wellbeing check on two individuals who had left for Edmonton and had not been heard from. Member able to contact individuals who were fine.
9:30 pm – Drayton Valley – Members received a report of a male sleeping in the vestibule of the TD Bank. Members attended and provided a courtesy ride to the MAT program.
January 8
1:39 am – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – report of an assault. Ex had attended to retrieve belongings. Both parties were intoxicated and got into an argument which became physical. Members attended, male had left prior to arrival. Matter is still under investigation.
6:36 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of theft of Light Brown 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 with BC Plate. Slip tank in the back. Vehicle stolen from Best Western parking lot.
7:25 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Report of a 2 vehicle collision at intersection of hwy 22 and hwy 39. One driver taken to hospital for undetermined injuries. Other driver issued a violation ticket for proceeding when unsafe to do so.
10:49 am – Parkland County – RR 51 – report of a break and enter to garage. Once inside, suspects entered a utility trailer and travel trailer. Unknown if anything stolen.
7:01 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of an erratic driver. Vehicle is weaving in the land and tailgating. Vehicle is a light Green 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. Further queries indicate vehicle stolen from Evansburg area earlier.
7:04 pm – Lodgepole – Commercial alarm received. Members attended, workers leaving the site after changing lights.
7:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 street – Report of a hit and run. Suspect vehicle is a grey truck. Caller stated that the truck hit their 2017 Toyota Corolla, Grey in colour then took off.
7:29 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of a hit and run, erratic driver. Caller stated that they were eastbound and had just crossed the bridge when they observed headlights coming towards them, complainant had to swerve into the ditch to avoid a head on collision. Suspect vehicle was a truck.
7:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 20 Avenue – Report of a female covered in blood. Female had told caller that they were trying to get away from ex. Female left prior to police arrival. Members located female and a vehicle which they attempted a traffic stop on, however vehicle fled. Vehicle later stopped in Edmonton where driver was arrested.
7:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 20 Avenue – Report of shoplifter. Known female stole a case of twisted Teas and walked out of store. Suspect was later arrested in Stony Plain on unrelated matters.
8:01 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Ongoing dispute reported. Members attended, both parties had calmed down prior to arrival. Parties separated for the night.
8:13 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – 911 call received, female yelling, female was uncooperative and would not provide information, related to the Chevrolet Malibu that had been observed in Drayton Valley and stolen from Evansburg.
January 9
2:11 am – Parkland County – RR 51 – Report of a suspicious vehicle. Vehicle described as a White Chevrolet Silverado. Vehicle located not suspicious.
7:00 am – Brazeau County – Report of an unconscious male in a truck in the middle of the road, vehicle is running with lights on. Member attended and observed several open liquor containers in passenger seat. Member was able to arouse driver who was given the breath demand which resulted in a fail. Vehicle seized for 30 days and towed, licence suspended, violation ticket for open liquor issued.
10:13 am – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Neighbour dispute, ongoing issue. Neighbour continually parks blocking driveway partially in alley. Member advised that due to snow removal, there were very few places to park.
11:23 am – Brazeau County – Violet Grove – Report received of an assault. Members attended, Male arrested for assault and held for bail hearing.
3:09 pm – Brazeau County – Report of stolen items received from female. 2 duffle bags of items were received. Owner of items located and attended to retrieve belongings.
8:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 34 Avenue – Report of stolen black 2001 dodge ram from Westwood Inn.
10:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of a disturbance in progress at the former coach Motel. A lot of yelling heard. Member attended and spoke with complainants. One female arrested for breach of peace to be released when sober. Second female transported to hospital.
11:30 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report received of a possible intoxicated driver in a white GMC Terrain. Members patrolled area, vehicle not located.
January 10
9:06 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complaint received regarding the piles of snow in the middle of the roads.
9:32 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – 2 911 calls received in which the operator could hear a person saying yes and no. Member was able to locate residence through GPS and attended the location. All was fine, care worker in attendance.
5:14 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Attempted theft of tan 2003 GMC truck. Owner had been away working for the day and when they returned, they observed damage to their passenger door and ignition tampered with.
7:08 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Attempted theft of grey 2002 GMC 1 ton truck. Driver door handle and ignition tampered with.
9:55 pm – Brazeau County – RR 85 – Report received of a single vehicle collision. Black GMC Sierra went into the ditch and hit a tree. Only one occupant who was attempting to get the vehicle out of the ditch. Member attended and located driver and gave a breath demand which the driver refused to comply with. The driver was arrested for impaired driving as well as other serious offences. Driver held for a bail hearing.
10:18 pm – Drayton Valley – 55A Street – Report received of suspicious sounds. Member called, complainant advised it was just the snow melting.
January 11
7:27 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue- Report of a male wearing a head lamp and carrying an ice picker walking. Members attended location, male not located.
9:02 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Report of a 2 vehicle collision. One individual was stopped at a stop sign and another was turning. The second vehicle slipped on the ice and collided with the other.
9:42 am – Drayton Valley – report of a number that kept calling the night before and this morning. Threats were uttered. Member contacted the number and spoke with someone who became belligerent when told to stop calling.
10:03 am – Brazeau County – Well Bucky decided to wander out now that it has warmed up. Unfortunately, Bucky ran out of the ditch, so happy it had warmed up and collided with a vehicle.
10:24 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report of an assault. Individuals blaming each other for the assault. Matter is still under investigation.
10:49 am – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Report of a 2 vehicle Collison at the intersection of Hwy 22 and 62 Avenue. Attached trailer jackknifed causing damage to their truck.
11:55 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant attended the office requesting a wellbeing check on an individual. Member spoke with individual who was fine.
12:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on child. Member attended and child was fine, no issues
1:09 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Report of a hit and run at the Frank Maddock School. Unknown vehicle collided with a Black BMW. Member attended the school and was able to locate individual who hit the vehicle.
1:16 pm – Brazeau County – Report of suspicious footprints on lease site. Member attended and followed the footprints. It appeared that someone had been walking in the forest and set up a camp for the evening.
2:08 pm – Tomahawk – Child custody dispute. Caller does not think children are being care for properly. Member attended, children were happy and no signs of neglect.
2:56 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a single vehicle collision with a barricade.
4:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Request for assistance to obtain belongings from residence. Member attended and assisted as requested.
8:40 pm – Brazeau County – complainant called requesting a follow-up to a previously reported incident.
January 12
7:30 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Vehicle stopped for not having their headlights on. They were unable to provide proof of insurance and received a ticket.
9:46 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Members received a request from Evansburg RCMP to attempt to locate 2 individuals on warrant. Members located and arrested one and determined the other was actually already in custody.
9:54 am – Brazeau County – Twp 491 – County Peace Officers located a burning vehicle which had been stolen out of Calmar on January 3rd.
10:27 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Collision between Bambi and a truck. Nobody in the truck was injured. Bambi wasn’t as lucky.
11:38 am – Brazeau County – Members were called to assist EMS.
3:41 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Report of damage to a fuel tank on a vehicle. The fuel tank was drilled and fuel was stolen.
4:37 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complaint of a dog left in a vehicle. The temperature was above freezing, members attended, the dog was not in distress.
6:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – 2 homeless people are setting up in a vestibule of a bank. Police attended, they were just waiting for the MAT program to open. They were asked to leave and did.
6:16 pm – Brazeau County – RR 65 – Report of a break and enter in to a residence in progress. Police attended, confirmed it was not a break and enter.
January 13
5:30 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – 2 unwanted people in the bathroom of a business. When police arrived staff advised they left when asked.
