
Breton RCMP have laid charges in a fatal traffic accident that happened in October.
On Oct. 27, 2021, shortly before 5 p.m., Breton and Thorsby RCMP got the report of a multi-vehicle collision involving two passenger vehicles.
The collision happened west of Breton on Highway 616 at Range Road 43.
Breton and Thorsby RCMP, the RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team, Emergency Medical Services, local fire department, and STARS Air Ambulance all attended.
Two vehicle occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.
Christopher Scott Way, a 29-year old from Ontario, has been charged with two counts of impaired driving causing death, and two counts of dangerous driving causing death.
Way is set to appear in court in Breton on Mar. 8, 2022.
