8:16 AM – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Report of a 2 vehicle collision on Hwy 620. No injuries.
8:32 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of an unknown individual sleeping in the bank vestibule. Member attended and located known male. Male was given a courtesy ride to the Omniplex warming center.
8:42 am – Brazeau County – Report of a single vehicle rollover. Member attended along with fire and EMS. Driver transported to hospital with minor injuries.
10:02 am – Brazeau County – Report received of a residential alarm. Members attended, no signs of forced entry. Recent power outage triggered alarm.
1:29 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report received of male cutting antlers off deer that had been hit by vehicle. Reported to Fish and wildlife officers.
1:35 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Commercial alarm at business. Members attended, front door not secure. No signs of forced entry. Member cleared building, nothing suspicious. Property rep attended, likely employee forgot to lock door.
2:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Complainant reporting a hit and run. Complainant had parked their 2005 Blue Saturn ion on Christmas Eve. Damage to passenger side and mirror.
9:03 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of an unwanted female. Member attended and provided a courtesy ride to MAT program.
11:18 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. 24 hour suspension issued as driver impaired by drugs. Driver also issued a violation ticket for transporting cannabis in open package within reach of driver.
December 30
12:18 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report received of vehicles stunting in the parking lot of the Omniplex. Ongoing issue. Vehicle is a blue or green Subaru Outback. Vehicle is driving around with doors open and more occupants than seatbelts. Members attended, vehicle had left prior to arrival. Patrols made in area, vehicle not located.
12:28 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Report of a dispute occurring. Yelling and throwing things in apartment. Members attended and spoke with individuals.
2:23 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Report of a mutual fight between two males. Males moved from garage into residence. Males were arguing and it became physical. Both individuals intoxicated. Parties separated for the night.
4:28 AM – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a female behind the Dollar Tree. Complainant was concerned for their safety due to the cold. EMS attended, however female had left prior to their arrival. Members patrolled the area with negative results.
8:41 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Request for a wellbeing check. Member was able to locate individual who was fine.
8:59 am – Drayton Valley – 63 Street – Complainant reporting an unwanted male has locked themselves in the bathroom and is refusing to leave. Member attended and located known male who was sheltering from the cold. Member provided courtesy ride to Omniplex.
9:52 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter into a compound, once inside, suspects attempted to steal a vehicle by destroying the steering column. Items stolen from vehicle.
1:14 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Report of an erratic driver in a red ford Taurus, older vehicle. Vehicle is swerving all over the road and driving at inconsistent speeds. Members attended and patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
4:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Staff at Omniplex expressing concerns with several of the homeless individuals who are passed out in the bathroom. Member attended, all individuals had left prior to arrival.
4:24 pm – Violet Grove – Alarm received at residence. Member attended, no sign of forced entry.
5:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a hit and run. Complainant stated they were stopped in the turning lane when a vehicle came out of the alley and struck their White 2022 GMC Sierra, suspect vehicle was a black SUV.
6:07 PM – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Member on patrol located a 1997 Black dodge Ram that had been stolen out of Parkland area. Vehicle towed.
9:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 58 Avenue – Complainant reporting their 2008 Maroon F250 stolen. Keys had been left in vehicle and it had been warming up.
10:11 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Bucky strikes again. Report of a wounded deer. Member attended, Bucky had already left the scene. Unknown where he will strike again.
11:53 pm – Tomahawk – Report of their white 2003 White Chevrolet Silverado with a welding unit on the back, stolen from in front of residence. Vehicle recovered by Thorsby RCMP following an attempted theft of ATM.
December 31
1:19 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report of a dog locked in a vehicle in the cold. Dog has been barking very loudly for last 20 minutes. Member attended, no dog in any vehicle and no dog heard barking.
2:09 am – Brazeau County – Abandoned Ski Doo on Hwy 759. Member patrolled and located Ski Doo covered in snow. Vehicle is a Motoski, orange and black in colour.
6:05 am – Brazeau county – RR 80 – 911 call from unknown number. Member attended area and located residence call had originated from. Member spoke with parties at residence. Everything was fine.
7:39 am – Brazeau county – RR 91 – Family dispute in which male had broken several windows on vehicles. Male is very intoxicated. Members attended and arrested male for mischief. Male held at detachment until sober.
7:49 am – Drayton Valley – 55 Street – Call received from individual experiencing a psychotic episode and reporting daughters dropped by the river. Member attended past residence of daughters and was advised they were well and in Edmonton.
10:42 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of lost ATM card which had subsequently been used at 3 different locations.
3:55 pm – Brazeau County – Report of strange messages received. Member contacted all parties involved. Everyone was fine.
4:27 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – report of a vehicle crashed on the roadway and rolled over the guardrail. Driver intoxicated. As they were a GDL driver, Vehicle towed and drivers licence suspended
5:01 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting roommate accusing them of stealing their IPHONE and speaker. Member attended residence, no one home. Matter is still under investigation.
6:43 PM – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Moosey moosey in the bush, as you sit upon your tush, if you come from where you are, you will certainly hit my car. Report of a truck vs Moose collision. Moose was deceased.
10:14 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Member received a call of a hit and run, members patrolled the area and conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle that matched the description. Driver intoxicated. Vehicle seized for 30 days and towed. No valid registration or insurance and Driver licence suspended previously. Several violation tickets issued.
January 1, 2022
1230 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Member on patrol observed a dog running on the road. Member captured dog and an attempt to contact the owner was made. Dog taken to Cause for Critters.
1:15 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle go through a stop sign. Driver intoxicated. Vehicle seized and towed.
2:02 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Noise complaint received. Members attended, loud argument, nothing physical. Too much celebration of new years.
2:59 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for driving an uninsured vehicle.
8:04 am – Drayton Valley – 48 Street – Complainant reporting theft of their Brown 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. Vehicle recovered burned by Breton RCMP.
9:22 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Alarm received from gas station. Member attended and spoke with employee, false alarm. No emergency.
11:01 am – Drayton Valley – Family dispute. Members attended and mediated the situation.
12:18 pm – Drayton Valley – 63 Street – Complaint received of individuals constantly breaking into the UFA bathrooms. Member attended and spoke with employee. Known male warned.
1:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Report of an individual hitting a parked car in the parking lot. Member attended and spoke with driver of the vehicle who advised they had intentions of contacting the owner of the other vehicle to exchange information.
2:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Ongoing dispute between two individuals. One spit on the others window and wishes charges. Matter is still under investigation.
3:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Unwanted male refusing to leave. Member attended and provided courtesy ride to homeless shelter.
3:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Chainsaw stolen from unlocked garage.
8:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Intoxicated male walking in the middle of the street wearing grey winter jacket. Members attended area, patrols were negative.
8:56 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Animal call received regarding the welfare of dog. Ongoing issue between two parties. Dog is being cared for very well. No issues.
January 2
1:48 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – suspicious noise heard. Popping sounds. Member patrolled the area, no noise heard and no signs of distress.
2:34 am – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Request for members to attend residence as caller expects male to damage property. Members attended and provided courtesy ride to MAT program for the night.
3:05 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Noise complaint received. Members attended and requested individual turn down the music. No issues.
4:28 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report that male is being very aggressive with staff at MAT program. Members attended, male had left prior to arrival, patrols made, male not located.
4:50 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – noise complaint received. Member attended, no music heard. Individuals outside were warned and requested to keep quiet.
6:45 am – Drayton Valley – 911 hang-up received from Drayton Valley Hospital. Ongoing issue. No emergency.
9:15 am – Brazeau county – RR 81 – cousin of Bucky Buck was injured and in need of being euthanized. Caller given permission.
1:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Male is banging on their door, threatening to kick it in. Members attended and located male who was arrested on outstanding warrants.
2:09 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Male causing problems at store, refusing to leave. Male started yelling at staff and when kicked out of store, kicked the glass out of the door. Member attended and located known male who was arrested and charged with mischief. Held until sober.
3:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Member on patrol on unrelated matters conducted a traffic stop with vehicle in which plate did not match. Further queries showed vehicle not stolen, however not registered or insured.
4:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Member on unrelated matter attended another suite to speak with occupant. Door found open and occupant in medical distress, overdosing. Members administered NARCAN and requested EMS for transport to hospital.
5:11 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Report of a male attempting to break into a vehicle. Member attended and located male with a coat hangar. Male advised they had locked their keys in the vehicle. Queries indicated vehicle registered to male. No offence.
6:50 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – complaint received of a truck driving erratically for weather conditions. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
7:07 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 39 – EMS request assistance for a truck that had slid off road. Members attended and spoke with driver. Driver not familiar with highway. No injuries.
9:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Male refusing to leave business. Member attended, same male dealt with numerous times over the past few days. Members bought male some food and took him to a warm place to stay.
10:06 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant heard a loud bang, sounded like someone kicking in a door. Members attend4ed and patrolled the area. Nothing else heard and no further complaints received.
10:15 pm – Drayton Valley – 58 Street – alarm going off at business. Members attended, alarm false. No signs of entry forced or otherwise.
January 3
1:33 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Unwanted individual loitering in the vestibule of the bank. Members attended, individual had left.
7:39 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Theft of 1998 Green Dodge 2500 from parking lot. Matter is still under investigation.
8:11 am – Brazeau County – RR 91 – Report of male breaching their conditions. Male has been the subject of numerous calls in the past several days. Male had left
8:34 am – Brazeau County – Suspicious activity reported. Lots of night time activity. Members attended and located a vehicle in the ditch. Occupant of vehicle arrested on outstanding warrants. Vehicle was stuck. Registered owner contacted and advised they were having vehicle towed.
10:06 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report of theft of grey 2001 GMC sierra. Doors were locked and had a club on the wheel. Vehicle had been taken within the past 10 days.
11:46 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Motor vehicle collision reported. Semi truck had rolled. No injuries. Member attended, wheel had caught edge of road.
4:50 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Possible stolen bicycle and cart in front of building. Member attended, no bicycle or cart located.
9:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – request that members conduct a wellbeing check on male sleeping in bank vestibule. Member attended and located known male and provided a courtesy ride to the MAT program.
10:15 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Street – Report of a glass break alarm. Members attended and confirmed a break and enter had occurred to a business. Tracks were followed to residence nearby. Matter is still under investigation.
January 4
11:00 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Police, Fire and EMS attended to a 2 vehicle collision at the Highway 22 intersection between a heavy duty tow truck and a pickup truck. Nobody was injured.
11:53 am – Brazeau County – Lodgepole – Request to assist with obtaining belongings, matter was a landlord/tenant dispute, police attended to keep the peace.
1:06 pm – Brazeau County – RR 70 – While backing up, one driver struck another, no injuries.
1:50 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Members received a request from another RCMP detachment to conduct a wellbeing check. Members attended, and no concerns were found.
2:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – 2 vehicle collision, while attempting to stop, the driver slid and rear ended another vehicle. No injuries.
2:41 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant advised they provided a check to a business but didn’t recognize the name that cashed it. When they contacted the business to inquire if that person worked there they did not.
3:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report that a dog ran away and the person who found it will not return it. Animal Services is dealing with the matter.
11:06 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Abandoned vehicle, when police arrived, the owner was with the vehicle filling it with a jerry can.
January 5
12:37 am – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge – Report of an unwanted person in a residence. Police attended and cleared the residence and confirmed that the person was not there.
5:23 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Residential panic alarm, police attended, no concerns. The alarm was triggered accidentally.
9:03 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of a male in the post office Lobby. Members attended and located known male who was given a courtesy ride to the warming center.
10:54 am – Lodgepole – Request for members to attend and assist with the retrieval of belongings. Member attended and kept the peace while they gathered their belongings.
12:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – report of a 2 vehicle collision. One individual was driving on the road and another was backing up. No injuries.
1:19 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant advised they were travelling on Hwy 39 when they hit black ice and hit the ditch. No injuries.
2:05 pm – Drayton Valley – Wal-Mart – Report of a shoplifter at the store. Member attended and located known male who had swapped their shoes for a new pair. Member ensured that all items in the cart were paid for prior to leaving.
3:47 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of an individual failing to comply with no contact order. Ongoing issue. Individual is in Edmonton.
4:31 pm – Drayton Valley – 42 Street – Report of individual driving while intoxicated. Members attended and located vehicle. Driver was asked to provide a breath sample which resulted in a Fail.
4:40 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of an assault. Known individuals were in a physical argument which resulted in injuries, victim was not cooperative and would not provide a statement. Other party also called to report they were assaulted.
5:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of individual who is wanted on warrants.
5:58 pm – Drayton Valley – Custody dispute. No police enforceable clause in custody order. Member attempted to contact individuals, however no one would answer their phones.
6:18 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Report of an intoxicated driver in a white 2017 Dodge 1500. Members located vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Driver was intoxicated. Vehicle seized for 30 days and license suspended. 2 calls received regarding this driver. Driver also issued violation ticket for open liquor in vehicle.
7:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Complainant reporting threats. Suspect had left intoxicated on their bicycle. Members attended residence, all parties were intoxicated. Further information to be gathered.
