Brazeau County is starting to roll out its Council Strategic Plan for 2021 through 2026.
At the County’s Dec. 21 meeting, council shared their vision, mission statement and values for the council term.
Their vision states, “The Independent Spirit of Beautiful Brazeau County Inspires Innovative Leaders.”
Council’s mission statement states:
We Value a Climate Where:
- Entrepreneurs Flourish and Recreation Abounds
- Our Residents-First Philosophy is Forefront
- We Appreciate our Natural Resources and Environment.
- We Drive Ambition and Welcome Diverse Opportunities
- We Support Innovative Ideas and Continually Improve Service Levels
And for values, they state:
We Value:
- Transparency, Integrity and Ambition
- Diversity Among our Communities
- Our Indigenous Neighbours
- Efficiency & Pragmatism
The County will post its complete list of goals and priorities to its website, www.brazeau.ab.ca, once it is finalized.
Brazeau County continues to support STARS Air Ambulance.
At the County’s Dec. 21 meeting, Glenda Farnden, Senior Municipal Liaison for STARS Air Ambulance, provided an update on STARS operations in the County. She also thanked the County for their ongoing support.
The County contributes two dollars per capita annually.
Brazeau County is now home to Miss Rodeo Canada 2022.
Brazeau County resident Jayden Calvert won the honour in November.
At the County’s Dec. 21 meeting, Council paid tribute to Calvert by awarding her with flowers and a travel bag in recognition of her achievement.
Brazeau County also extended its congratulations to Calvert.
