December 16
6:06 am – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of an individual selling their prescription medication. Investigation into this is continuing.
7:31 am – Highway 39 – Traffic Hazard – Complaint received of 2 gravel trucks parked on the side of the road with no lights or triangles out.
7:48 am – Tomahawk – Commercial alarm received. Property manager contacted by police who advised that employee had entered the wrong code, no need for police attendance.
8:02 am – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of a stolen Ford truck. Investigation continuing.
9:20 am – Highway 22 – Complaint received of a motor vehicle collision on highway 22 at the intersection with 34th avenue. No injuries, statements provided and damage stickers issued.
11:13 am – Range Road 62 – Complaint received of a vehicle vs deer collision. Complainant was travelling on range road 62 when Billy the Buck made the poor decision of running across their path. Statement provided and damage sticker issued.
11:56 am – Highway 759 – Complaint received of a single vehicle collision. Complainant advised he was travelling north on highway 759 when he was run off the road by a gravel truck. Gravel truck unable to be identified.
1:46 pm – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of an attempted truck Theft. Complainant advised that while returning home form lunch he saw a group of people in a white GMC truck trying to steal his truck. Truck departed when he arrived home. Investigation continuing.
3:25 pm – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of a stolen car. Investigation continuing.
3:30 pm – Highway 22 – Complaint received of a vehicle that slid into the ditch on highway 22. Complainant was unable to stop to check on the occupants of the vehicle. Members attended, no injuries.
3:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop as they had observed the driver not wearing a seatbelt. Driver issued a violation ticket.
4:17 pm – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of an unwanted male in the mailbox area of the post office. Member attended and located a homeless male who was trying to stay warm. Male provided courtesy ride to the MAT program.
5:11 pm – Highway 22 – Complaint received of an abandoned vehicle on the side of Highway 22. Members attended but vehicle had already departed.
6:48 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant contacted police and advised that he had just observed the white GMC that tried to steal his truck earlier in the day near Husky in Drayton Valley. Members attended and located the vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. Member attempted to stop vehicle but it fled from police. No pursuit initiated. Investigation continuing.
11:22 pm – Drayton Valley – Assist EMS – EMS contacted police requesting assistance with an erratic male with a history of violence. Members attended and located the male who was heavily intoxicated. Members assisted EMS in getting the male to the hospital and stayed with the male until hospital staff felt safe.
December 17
4:29 am – Highway 22 – Members dispatched to a vehicle vs snow plow collision. Complainant reported that a Chevrolet Silverado attempted to pass the snow plow while the plow was turning left causing the Silverado to strike the blade of the snow plow causing minor injuries to the occupants.
6:56 am – Highway 22 – Single vehicle collision. Complainant contacted police advising he had slid into the guardrail on the bridge while on his way to work. Complainant sated that he was able to drive to work still but was worried there was debris on the highway. Members attended the bridge, debris located but not obstructing traffic. EMCON contacted to clean up the debris.
08:57 am – Highway 22 – North Sask Bridge, Single vehicle collision. Complainant report that she hit some black ice on the bridge, slid into the guardrail, no injuries, and was able to drive away form the scene.
9:03 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting boyfriend threatened their brother in law. Members attended. Both parties spoken to. Both males had gotten into an argument. Complainant did not wish to pursue charges.
11:59 am – Drayton Valley, complainant reports that the suspect(s) entered the underground parking lot and rummaged through his vehicle, property stolen from his vehicle and still under investigation.
06:00 pm – Drayton Valley, Commercial Panic alarm, Members attended the scene, no signs of entry into the business. Manager put in the wrong code. False alarm.
6:43 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Members responded to a verbal argument between two females. Females were arguing over a purse. Purse given back to rightful owner
07:49 pm – Drayton Valley, theft of motor vehicle, complainant advised that their Gold 1998 Nissan Maxima was stolen, possible suspect identified and still under investigation.
December 18
02:00 am – Drayton Valley, Intoxicated driver was reported to the RCMP, suspect has had several drinks at the bar, refused to get into a cab and took her own car and drove away, RCMP made patrols, car was located into a parking lot but was unoccupied, driver was not located.
11:22 am – Lodgepole, wellbeing check was requested on a family with young children, the complainant had not heard from them, RCMP attended the residence and everyone was okay.
02:14 pm – Brazeau County, suspicious vehicle at an abandoned property, RCMP attended scene, recovered a stolen vehicle that had been reported 2 days prior. No suspects located at the scene, file under investigation.
03:15 pm – Drayton Valley, Complainant called the RCMP, she reported an assault with minor injuries, suspect was located and arrested.
3:31 am – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting brother had left them on the side of the road. Complainant not dressed for the weather. Member was en route when the complainant called back saying their brother had come back.
03:35 am – Brazeau County, Highway 22, traffic complaint for unsafe vehicle parked on the road, Member attended, vehicle was on the side of the road and had broke down, owner had already contacted a tow truck.
11:22 am- Drayton Valley – Request to conduct a wellbeing check on individual in Lodgepole. Members attended and spoke with individual who was fine.
2:07 pm – Brazeau County – Suspicious vehicle reported. Locks on the gate were broken and vehicle tracks into an old empty house. Vehicle is a late 90’s model Pontiac. Members attended and located vehicle which had been stolen 2 days prior. Vehicle towed.
3:14 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of an assault. Members attended, argument over a vehicle. Male arrested.
3:35 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of a vehicle parked unsafely on RR 71. Member attended, Registered owner was with the vehicle and advised they had called a tow truck.
4:09 pm – Drayton Valley, Complainant advised that he was the victim of a fraud, bought an item on ebay and the suspect provided a non-existent tracking number, complainant provided all information for the investigation that is ongoing.
7:29 pm – Drayton Valley, Complainant advised that a male was sleeping where he shouldn’t be, RCMP attended the scene and spoke with the male who agreed to move location, was also advised that the Mat program was back running to help him out.
7:30 pm – Drayton Valley, Complainant advised that his Ford F250, 2005 had been broken into, door and ignition were punched, attempt to steal his truck, property stolen from the truck, file under investigation.
7:50 pm – Brazeau County, Highway 22 north bound, erratic driver swerving all over the road, very unsafe, the RCMP made patrols and was not able to locate suspect vehicle.
8:39 pm – Drayton Valley – Complaint received of a truck parked in the middle of the road. Members attended and located vehicle. Shortly after the owner arrived with a Jerry can. The owner advised they had run out of gas.
9:00 pm – Brazeau County, Highway 22, North Sask bridge, with the icy roads condition and numerous accidents in the past few days, patrols were made at the above location a traffic stop was initiated for speeding violations, driver was charge with exceeding the speed limit.
9:47 pm – Drayton Valley, Fraud/extortion through Facebook, complainant advised that someone is trying to obtain money from him and threatening to post explicit pictures of complainant through Facebook, under investigation.
20:00 pm – Drayton Valley, Shoplifting at Walmart, complainant advised that she observed 2 females stealing items, video surveillance reviewed by the RCMP, suspect identified, file under investigation.
23:30 pm – Drayton Valley, RCMP were called by the Bar staff who advised that 6 males are fighting, all involved males left the scene prior to RCMP attending, video footage reviewed and one male is seen imitating Rocky Balboa by sucker punching an other male. Under investigation.
December 19
03:00 am – Drayton Valley, 50th Street, Male was found behind the wheel of his motor vehicle stopped in the middle on the road, traffic stop initiated and a 24hr suspension was given to the male driver.
1:02 pm – Brazeau county – RR 83 – Report of a suspicious person trespassing on their property.
3:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting theft of their White 2002 dodge Ram.
4:13 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Report of an abandoned vehicle in southbound lane. Member attended, vehicle had ben dealt with earlier on in the day.
8:54 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Caller reporting their 1995 dodge ram had been stolen and recovered in Breton’s area.
9:00 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting person sleeping in the vestibule of the bank. Member attended, individual had already moved on.
December 20
2:47 am – Brazeau county – Members on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Male impaired. Issued a 24 hour suspension and vehicle towed.
3:14 am – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol observed an older GMC run a red light. Member attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Vehicle fled.
6:33 am – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Report received of a theft of a ladder. Members attended.
9:22 AM – Brazeau county – Report of several lease sites entered. Electrical power cables had been cut and stolen.
9:32 am – Brazeau county – Hwy 620 – Complainant reporting a traffic hazard. Stop sign has been knocked off. EMCON called.
9:39 am – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting they slid on ice and hit the ditch.
9:45 am – Brazeau County – Complainant was travelling East on Twp Rd 500 when Bucky Buck struck again. Bucky ran out of the ditch and collided with the complainants vehicle.
10:37 am – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant was travelling north on Hwy 22 when they spun out on some ice and hit the ditch.
11:07 am – Brazeau County – report received of harassing behaviour. Ex is following them around. Matter is under investigation.
12:21 pm – Brazeau County – Report received that Bucky Buck was mortally wounded. Member attended, although Bucky had been caught in a fence, nothing was broken, member thought it best to let Bucky carry on.
12:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Known female attended the detachment to make a statement regarding a lost phone. Female believes she knows who stole the phone. Matter is still under investigation.
2:44 pm – Drayton Valley – 62 Street – Report of a White Ford F150 near the Coop gas bar. Vehicle has a lot of items in the back of the truck. Member attended, vehicle had left prior to arrival
3:05 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing the driver not wearing a seat belt. Driver issued a violation ticket.
3:15 pm – Drayton Valley – Report that boyfriend had allowed another known female to spend the night at the residence. Female is now refusing to leave. Members attended and female left. Complainant arrested on outstanding warrants.
5:11 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 620 – Off duty CPO called regarding a possible impaired driver in a Blue Jeep Liberty. Members patrolled and located vehicle with male in the ditch. Male refused to provide a sample of his breath and identification. Male arrested and taken back to the detachment until sober. Male charged with Mischief, Obstruction and driving while impaired.
6:14 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of theft of boots. Male had come into the store wearing a blue sweater and black pants. Male was being aggressive and swearing at staff. Male then stole a pair of boots and other items off the back counter. Members attended and located the male in the parking lot. When male saw the police he dropped the boots. Male arrested on outstanding warrants from Edmonton.
6:20 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of a SUV towing a trailer with sparks flying. Shortly after the complainant called back to say the vehicle had pulled over to deal with the problem.
6:26 pm – Parkland county – Complainant called to report several holes in his fence. Concerned the horses will get out.
8:31 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – report of an unwanted female sleeping in a vehicle. No issues, Owner of the vehicle had offered the female a warm place to stay.
11:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Unwanted male sleeping and blocking the entrance to the door. Members attended and known male was offered the MAT program. Male refused and left on foot.
December 21
4:10 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Request to assist with male causing problems. Members attended, male had gone to sleep and member attendance no longer required.
8:39 am – Drayton Valley – 55 Street – 2 vehicle collision reported. One vehicle slid into an oncoming lane. No injuries. Members attended.
9:10 am – Brazeau County – Bucky Buck struck again on RR 80.
9:58 am – Brazeau county – 2 Vehicle collision. No injuries.
10:39 am – Brazeau County – Collision occurred in a residential yard. No injuries.
1:44 pm – 2 vehicle collision on Hwy 759 and Hwy 624. One vehicle was turning and slid into another vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign. Two occupants were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
1:51 pm – Drayton Valley – Female attended the detachment to report their purse stolen or lost when they attended the hospital.
2:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Bylaw Officer requesting assistance with possible impaired driver near the Omniplex. Silver GMC Canyon. Vehicle is stunting. Member attended and located the vehicle, no signs of impairment.
2:03 pm – Brazeau County – Report of theft of copper wire from a lease site. Transformer and wire pulled down from pole.
2:18 pm – Drayton Valley – 3 vehicle collision. One individual taken to hospital for a check.
4:14 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of an impaired driver. Member attended location and observed a vehicle stuck in the ditch on a side road. MAS demand made and fail recorded. Vehicle towed and held for 30 days, drivers licence suspended for 90 days. Courtesy ride provided to driver.
4:14 pm – Brazeau county – Report of 3 large German Shepherds keep going onto their property. Animal control contacted to deal with issue.
5:25 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 Street – Report of a family dispute between father and son. Members attended, both parties intoxicated. One party arrested and charged for assault.
5:28 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Report received of a possible impaired driver in a black Dodge with a broken tail light. Vehicle is swerving into oncoming traffic. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
6:14 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant advised they were in the parking lot at Wal Mart. When they returned to their vehicle a note had been left on their windshield regarding their manner of parking. Person that wrote the note stated that they had a broken grill and hood. Complainant had no damage to their vehicle.
6:25 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Vehicle pedestrian accident. Pedestrian transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
11:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Commercial alarm at high school. Contractors on site. False alarm.
11:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant stated that someone threw a piece of metal through his apartment window. Suspect left in a white diesel truck. Member attended, patrols made. Male not located.
December 22
2:50 am – Brazeau County – Report received of an unwanted female. Female is trying to incite violence. Family dispute. Members attended, female arrested on outstanding warrants.
3:27 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Noise complaint for vehicle driving around in a parking lot revving the engine. Vehicle described as a blue possible Honda civic. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
6:14 am – Drayton Valley – 48A Avenue – Request to assist with retrieval of belongings. Member attended to keep the peace.
