The Drayton Valley Thunder are coming home after a couple of losses on the road.
On Oct. 22, the Thunder were in Brooks to take on the Bandits. Zach Bookman from the Bandits was first on the board, getting the assist from Ethan Mercer. But Grayson Reid with the Thunder scored, getting the assist from Quinton Gove and Lucas Krol to tie it 1-1 by the end of the first.
Aiden Fink with the Bandits scored in the second period, with assists from Ryan McAllister and Ethan Lund early in the second. Moe Hakim with the Thunder, however, scored for the visitors, with the assist from Tyler Blocha to tie the game 2-2 by the end of the second.
In the third period, the Bandits picked up three goals to secure their win. First was Devin Phillips with assists from TJ Hughes and Ryan McAllister. Next was TJ Hughes scoring an unassisted goal. And last was Dario Beljo with the assist from Ethan Mercer and Ethan Lund. Final score was 5-2 for the Bulldogs.
On Oct. 23, the Thunder went north to Drumheller to face the Dragons.
The Dragons got things going in the first period, as Sam Lozinski scored, getting the assist from Tanner Willick. The Dragons were leading 1-0 by the end of the first.
The Thunder managed to tie things up in the second though, as Lucas Krol scored with assists from Drew Sutton and Daniel Kernaghan.
The Dragons managed to seal the victory in the third period, as Hayden Prosofsky scored, getting assists from Ben Christian and Tye Pedersen. Final score was 2-1 for the Dragons.
The Thunder are now back home, where they face the Sherwood Park Crusaders on Oct. 26.
