Brazeau County is seeking community members to serve on various boards and council committees.
The following boards and committees currently have openings:
- Agricultural Services Board
- Municipal Planning Commission
- Subdivision and Development Appeal Board
- Pest, Soil and Weed Appeal Committee
- Composite Assessment Review Board
- Local Assessment Review Board
- Brazeau Foundation
- Drayton Valley/Brazeau Recreation Board
The county says members are provided training to serve in these groups and are compensated for their time and expenses.

The county is also hosting an open house for community members to learn more about these commitments on Oct. 8. It takes place from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The deadline to apply to a board or committee is Oct. 14, and the first organizational meeting takes place at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 21.
