A new trial date has been set for a Drayton Valley man accused in a road rage incident.
Kevin Hornle, 56, is scheduled for trial in the Drayton Valley Court of Justice on April 15, 2027.
He was previously scheduled to appear in the same court on June 9 this year, but that trial was adjourned.
Hornle is charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm and aggravated assault.
It was on May 20, 2025, around 5:20 a.m. when RCMP responded to a collision on the south side of Drayton Valley.
Officers report the vehicles had been travelling eastbound on Highway 22 near 50 Street when they collided, causing one to roll over into the westbound ditch. The driver of this vehicle was extracted by Drayton Valley Fire Services and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other driver was arrested after an investigation led police to believe it was a road rage incident.
Kevin Hornle was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions.
