Monday, Aug. 31, is International Overdose Awareness Day, and the Drayton Valley community is invited to mark the occasion.
Drayton Valley and District Family and Community Support Services, the All Are Daughters Recovery Centre, Kickstand Drayton Valley Youth Hub, and Opportunity Home are hosting an event from 4-6 p.m. that day.
Service providers will be on site to share information about local supports and programs that promote mental wellness, grief support, resilience and overall well-being.
A memorial walk will follow, and light refreshments will also be provided.
