Evansburg and area residents are invited to celebrate the grand opening of the modernized Grand Trunk School in October.
The K-12 school will open for classes on Sept. 8, but an official opening ceremony will celebrate the upgrades on Friday, Oct. 2.
It will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the Grand Trunk School gymnasium.
Community members interested in attending are asked to RSVP to Nikki Gilks with the Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (GYPSD) by Aug. 30. RSVPs can be sent by email or phone to nikkigilks@gypsd.ca or 780-723-4471.
West Yellowhead MLA and Minister of Infrastructure Martin Long will also be in attendance.
