The Drayton Valley Community Foundation is hosting its seventh annual Small Town Big Life Street Party this Friday.
On Aug. 21, Drayton Valley’s downtown will be packed with live music, food, family-friendly activities and local vendors.
The kids zone will be up from 5-8 p.m., with inflatables, a sandpit and more activities.
At the same time, Punch Buggy kicks off the live music portion of the event, before Five Dollar Celebrities takes over at 8 p.m.
Beer gardens open at 5 p.m. as well and close at midnight.
Every attendee will also receive one free meal ticket to be used at one of the eight local restaurants participating in the event.
To accommodate the event, a few road closures will be in effect.
Starting at 1 p.m. that day, 51 Street (downtown), a portion of 52 Avenue and a portion of 51 Avenue will be closed to ensure all vehicles are off the street before setup for the event begins.
The town says vehicles left on these streets after 1 p.m. will be towed. A map of the road closures is available below.
