An Edmonton resident has died following a serious collision in Parkland County.
At around 6:18 a.m. on Aug. 13, Parkland RCMP responded to a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Highway 627 between Range Road 273 and 274.
Police say they found the motorcyclist, a 69-year-old male resident of Edmonton, deceased when they arrived. The sole occupant of the pickup truck, an 82-year-old male resident of Spruce Grove, did not sustain any injuries.
Parkland RCMP says the cause of the collision is still under investigation, but the scene is expected to be cleared and reopen to traffic shortly.
The RCMP sends its condolences to the friends and family of all involved.
