October 7
Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Reported that complainant had heard a loud bang and thought it may have been a gunshot. Members made patrol and located a semi truck on Hwy 22 that had blown a drive tire and brake drum.
10:07 AM – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting break and enter to lease sites. Wire taken.
11:42 am – Drayton Valley – 61 street – Call for suspicious activity at Alberta Energy Regulator property. Report of a suspicious male on the property carrying boots and throwing around an ice pick. Boots were left in the bushes and ice pick on the ground. Officers attended the parking lot and spoke with the male. The male is homeless and suffering from mental health issues. Members collected the items for disposal.
11:53 – Brazeau County – Country Style Trailer Court – Complainant has issue with property owner/ roommate regarding things being broken and that they are currently moving out of the house. Member attended and took photos. Complainant requested time to speak with SOC before members continue investigation.
1:23 pm – Drayton Valley – Anonymous call of a possible female driving while her licence is suspended. Caller stated that the female left the Carleton East apartments driving in a Dodge Caravan. Members conducted patrols and eventually found the van parked at the Carleton East, with no driver in it.
2:03 pm – Drayton Valley – 50A Street – Complainant reporting someone broke into their compound overnight. Unknown what items were stolen if any.
2:42 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant requesting members check on wellbeing of child living with ex. Member attended, no issue.
2:59pm – Drayton Valley – 58 Ave – Call of unwanted male loitering in Fountain Tire parking lot, possibly on drugs, interfering with customers. Officers arrived to Fountain Tire, suspect left when police were called. Members spoke with the complainant and he explained male was worrying customers and just wanted him off the property. While patrolling, Cst. SANDIFORD located male and had a conversation with him, he stated he was leaving Drayton.
3:16pm – Parkland County – Hwy 759 – Complaint that he was passed coming into Tomahawk by a gravel truck when it was double solid lines. Plate provided was registered to a company. Patrols did not find the truck. Company contacted and informed of their driver’s actions.
4:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Ave – Report from complainant that he thinks people were trying to take his trailer while he was still in it. Complainant said he woke up and found people outside his trailer trying to wrench it down. He scared them off when he woke up. Complainant stated the licence plate on his trailer was different as well. Members attended and talked with the complainant. There appeared to be no damage to it. Complainant began to be uncooperative when he was questioned about his story.
6:33hrs – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Complainant reported that there was a woman trespassing in the yard of his business. Members attended and spoke with the female who left when asked.
7:25 pm – Lodgepole – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
9:03pm – Drayton Valley – 53 avenue – Report of a female that overdosed on pills. Female was slurring her words. EMS on scene and requesting RCMP attend as the patient is refusing treatment, but admitted to taking medication. Members attended, female detained under a form 10 as she was refusing to go to the hospital with EMS. Admitted to Drayton Valley Hospital under Form 1.
9:12 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Complainant reporting an assault. Members attended. Matter is still under investigation.
9:30pm – Brazeau County – Complainant called and reported that a dark truck was swerving and had inconsistent speed on Hwy 22. No LP, no make, no model. Patrols made but did not locate any trucks driving erratically.
October 8
2:37am – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Complainant reporting a homeless person sleeping at BMO. Complainant wanted access to clean the building. Members attended and spoke with male who was very agreeable and understanding. Male left location.
8:49am – Drayton Valley – RCMP Detachment – Complainant reporting that her son was hit by a vehicle when riding a bike about two months ago in Vernon, B.C. Her son has now returned home, he did not seek medical attention after the accident. Complainant says he is not himself, walks into things, started doing drugs and now he is refusing to leave. Complainant is looking for guidance from the police as to what to do with him now. SUI
9:37am – Brazeau County – Whitby Hall – Break and enter to Community Hall. Wrench left behind to pry open lock. Door pried open. Misc. Tools stolen, PA system stolen. // Member attended and spoke with COM and Contractor on site. FIS requested. FIS attended NEGATIVE result. Awaiting STAT DEC once, FIS has cleared building.
10:09am – Drayton Valley – 58 avenue – Complainant called to report that one of their trucks was stolen the night before. Members attended and when they arrived, Complainant informed that one of their workers was driving passed Wabamun and spotted the stolen truck left abandoned on the side of the road just East of the Wabamun exit on Highway 16. Request to Parkland RCMP help to locate the vehicle. Vehicle located and holding for FIS. SUI
11:36am – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Complainant reports vehicle in front of them has veered into oncoming traffic and almost gone into the ditch several times. Member located the vehicle and completed a traffic stop. Driver checked for impaired driving, driver was not impaired. Warning issued for distracted driving.
12:16pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Report of someone who was slouched over on a park bench, and was concerned for their safety. Members attended in regards to a related call located homeless male just having a sleep.
12:19pm – Drayton Valley – Hospital – 911 hang up at Drayton Valley Hospital on going issue. No emergency. Multiple files are generated by people confused by having to dial 9 and 1 for outside line long distance calls.
12:25pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – B&E to church occurred sometime since Wednesday. Two doors inside forced open, possibly exterior door left open, as no door appears forced. Inside rummaged thru, unknown if anything is missing. Members attended and held the scene for FIS. FIS attended and examined the scene. SUI
1:03pm – Drayton Valley – 51 street – Landlord advising that an unknown male parked in her parking lot and when she went to ask him to move he became belligerent with her. Member attended but could not identify individual and spoke with a local business owner near by who advised that he did not know who the male was.
1:10pm – Drayton Valley – 34 avenue – COM requested a member check on a male who was laying on a park bench. Member attended and spoke with homeless male who was having a nap and advised that he would find a more private area.
1:47pm – Drayton Valley – Landfill – Complainant called to report that there was a fire at a homeless camp on the West side of the Aspen Landfill. Members attended with Parkland Fire, but no fire was located. Male was located west of the landfill, he had multiple warrants for his arrest. Male was arrested and brought back to cells.
2:10pm – Drayton Valley – 62 street – Manager of Gas Station advised that young female staff has been feeling uncomfortable with a male that is seeming to always be around the gas station at night. Member called the male and advised him that he was making the staff feel uncomfortable. Male was shocked but advised that he would start eating his dinner somewhere else moving forward.
3:50 PM – Brazeau Dam – Complainant reporting an abandoned vehicle. Black car with open windows hasn’t been moved all day. Windows broken. Members attended, vehicle towed.
3:59pm – Drayton Valley – Wal-Mart – Report of a stolen vehicle. Dark Grey Grey – 2006 – F350 dully, Nothing seen around where it was parked (no broken glass, etc). Complainant advised that there are some groceries in the cab of the truck. Members made patrols in town but could not locate the truck.
6:15pm – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Call of a B&E in progress at the “Canam” store, SOC left soon after. Based on clothing, and physical description, MHA female was identified as the suspect. Female was located and arrested shortly after on warrants. Storeowners called, and attended scene, security footage attained, and statement taken by firsthand witness, who confirmed B&E being committed. Female released on Undertaking for B&E, and Appearance Notice.
6:50pm – Drayton Valley – 52 street – Complainant called in to request assistance with eviction of tenants in apartment 303 and 103. Members attended advised the complainant that the matter was civil and that he needed to go through the proper channels, contact the landlord/tenant board, and hire a bailiff to get tenants evicted.
8:43pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Complainant called and reported that SOC was harassing her near 711. Members located complainant friends behind El Dorado school. SOC had left toward the Omniplex and the complainant went home. Member called and spoke with complainant who confirmed this. Member called parents of both teenagers.
10:37pm – Drayton Valley – Madsen Ave – Hospital Security called in reporting discharge female at hospital unwilling to leave and being belligerent. Members attended found female on site was cooperative with officer but was clearly intoxicated by something and had no one who wanted to take care of her for the evening. Female was arrested for trespassing brought back in cells to be release when sober.
October 9
1:02 am – 50 Street – Complainant called to report a dispute. Members attended, all parties spoken to. Male arrested and charged with assault.
2:48am – Parkland County – Parkland fire department called in to request assistance with FIRE at residence. Members attended the FIRE and watched the fire department put the fire out.
6:48am – Drayton Valley – 47 street – 911 hang-up for a business – Continuum health care/Seasons Retirement Home. Confused female was asking for coffee. Residents have to press “9” to dial out, mistake was made by a resident.
9:57am – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Report of a dangerous driver, Complainant said there was a 2015 Ford F150 super crew that ran the stop sign going southbound at Highway 621 and Range Road 81. Complainant said it was a single occupant with dark hair and a moustache possible going over 120 km/h. Licence plate provided and member spoke to the registered owner. Vehicle owner said he did not run any stop sign and had an uneventful drive. Vehicle owner does not have any facial hair either and thinks the complainant may have gotten the plate wrong. Complainant did not want any further action taken against the driver.
11:32am – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 512 – 911 reporting a single vehicle rollover, the vehicle is on its roof, one occupant trapped inside. EMS and Fire attended.
1:49pm – Drayton Valley – Park Valley Pool – Report of a loitering female at the public pool. Employee wants female removed from property because she keeps coming and going into the public washroom & lobby area. Ongoing since yesterday, currently in the lobby, female is not a paid customer, she is talking to herself and believed to be on drugs. Yesterday she told caller she has needles in her purse. Member attended and told the female to leave, female left with no issues.
3:13pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Driving complaint of a silver vehicle with an older Caucasian male driving on Highway 22. The driver was driving erratically and swerving, they were last seen pulling into the Boston Pizza parking lot. Member attended and located the driver, MAS demand and he blew a FAIL. Male given IRS sanctions for FAIL as well as ticket for having cannabis within reach of the driver and for not having an operator’s license. Vehicle towed.
4:28 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant called to report they withdrew $1000 and sent it to an individual at Readers Digest. Complainant has cancelled all banking cards.
5:48pm – Drayton Valley – 20 avenue – Report that there was a suspicious male at the parking lot close to Tim Hortons. Male appeared intoxicated. Details of subject of complaint matched the impaired driver from Boston Pizza earlier. Upon arrival, male found to be laying on pavement heavily intoxicated. EMS attended; male refused medical attention and when arrested for being drunk in public. Male became combative with members. Resisted going in the car and was combative back at cells. Male being held until sober.
7:10pm – Drayton Valley – Aspen Landfill – Aspen Waste security reporting that there are 2 men going through the trash heaps, a horn was blared outside with no affect on the men. No vehicles on site, two males seen on camera at the time of the call. Officers made patrols in the landfill and did not locate any individuals on site. Unclear if any of the garbage had been stolen.
7:23pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reports an erratic driver in a two tone Ford 3/4 ton or 1 ton diesel, extended cab, slip tank in back. Licence plate unknown vehicle is doing approx. 160kph, weaving in out of traffic. Member completed patrols and did not find a vehicle matching the description.
10:17 pm – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for failing to stop
10:35 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting an intoxicated male is attempting to get into the rooms at the hotel. Member attended, male identified and was a client at the hotel. Member was able to direct male to their room.
11:46 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Complainant reporting a dispute. Members attended and spoke with all parties involved. Male arrested and charged with assault. Held for a Bail hearing and released by justice.
October 10
8:57 am – Brazeau Dam – Complainant reporting a individual is soaking wet and barefoot at the campground. Members attended and located individuals who were quite intoxicated. No assault or issues.
1:36 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting catalytic converter stolen from vehicle overnight while parked in the parking lot
4:40 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting loud music being played while a group are playing hockey on the street. Members attended and spoke with all individuals.
7:55 pm – Drayton Valley – Request to assist EMS with a medical emergency. Members attended
9:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting seeing several youth on the roof of the dollar tree store. Members attended, youth had already left.
11:59 pm – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Complainant reporting they were assaulted by sibling. Members attended, offending parties had already left. Members patrolled the area, not located.
October 11
1:30 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a possible intoxicated driver in a white F350. Member patrolled the area. Vehicle not located.
9:49 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant called to report they found a syringe on the pathway. Member attended and seized syringe which was disposed of properly.
9:53 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting an attempted fraud. Complainant advised they had received a phone call from someone who identified themselves as being from VISA Security advising their credit card had been compromised. Advised to contact the bank and have credit card locked until further investigation is completed.
11:39 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Complainant request a wellbeing check on daughter. Member attended and spoke with mother and daughter. Everyone ok
2:43 pm – Brazeau Dam – Complainant advised they had found some credit cards near the main camp ground. Owner of credit cards located and returned
3:43 pm – Drayton Valley – 55A Avenue – Complainant reporting a child custody dispute. Child was supposed to be home the previous day, other parent spoken to, just a misunderstanding as it was a holiday.
4:32 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a suspicious phone call accusing them of harassing children and asking for personal information. Complainant did not provide any personal information.
8:11 pm – alder flats area – Complainant reporting sighting of a black bear in the area.
10:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 Street – Complainant reporting a neighbour dispute. Neighbour complaining about dog barking
October 12
1:45 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a possible breach of conditions. Members spoke with both parties, no breach.
5:09 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting theft of Red 2001 Dodge Ram pickup overnight.
8:15 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant called to report vandalism to their vehicle. Damage consistent with an attempted theft.
9:03 am – Brazeau County – Complainant calling to report a breach of a court order. Order had not yet been served on individual. Members attended and served document. Individual left the property.
9:49 am – Brazeau County – Alarm reported at residence. Member attended, false alarm
10:39 am – Brazeau County – Complainant called to report they had found two large catalytic converters in the ditch. Member attended. Items seized.
11:50 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant attended detachment with a bike they had found near the dog park.
1:13 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a breach of conditions. Member attended, statement taken. No breach occurred as no conditions in place.
2:06 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant attended detachment with a lost drivers licence and cell phone. Both items returned to rightful owners.
4:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a male in the IGA parking lot begging for money. Member attended, male had left prior to arrival.
2:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for being on the cell phone while driving.
5:10 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on individual. Member attended location, individual was very intoxicated but no further issues
5:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious male at the location. Male on a bike with a half mask and wearing a grey sweater was going through the garbage bins. Members attended and patrolled the area, male not located.
7:01 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Complainant reporting ex is sending messages to them and another family member. Complainant attended the detachment. Member spoke with all parties involved. Context of message does not meet the standard of any offence.
7:36 pm – Drayton Valley – 55A Avenue- Complainant reporting dispute that turned physical. Dispute is between family members regarding the son. Matter is still under investigation.
7:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicles following them. Newer white truck with a silver cage on the back being driven by a older male with a baseball cap. Members patrolled the area, vehicle and male not located.
11:56 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Complainant reporting an individual trespassing at the landfill. Members attended and located known male who advised he had been at the landfill but had left earlier. Members patrolled the landfill. No other male located.
October 13
12:57 am – Parkland County – Complainant reporting a breach of conditions of no contact. Ex had attended residence and a dispute broke out. Complainant had attended residence knowing ex would be there. Ex located and advised they had taken the keys away from complainant aas they were intoxicated and driving.
9:40 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a theft of a licence plate. Vehicle had been parked in hotel parking lot.
10:21 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant calling to report gravel trucks are driving erratically on the highway. Member patrolled the area, nothing out of the ordinary noted.
11:19 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant calling to report an abandoned black Chevrolet Truck in the parking lot. Keys are in the vehicle. Members attended. Vehicle towed.
12:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 43A Street – Complainant calling requesting a wellbeing check on son. Matter is under investigation.
1:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting vandalism to their vehicle. Appears as if a shopping cart was used to scratch the front end of their blue F150.
2:10 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a possible impaired driver. Driver in a older grey dodge pickup truck, box was filled with garbage.
2:37 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant attended the detachment to report they had lost their wallet in May, and now have learned that someone is using their drivers licence.
3:22 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting they were parked in a parking lot and when they got home realized someone had hit their vehicle as there was a large dent in the rear panel of their 2016 Black GMC Sierra.
3:26 pm – Drayton Valley – Aurora Elementary School – Complainant reporting leaflets offering support for people against COVID mandates left on vehicles.
3:46 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting they were driving south on Hwy 22 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
8:02 pm – Drayton Valley – Omniplex – Complainant reporting several youth drinking in a vehicle. While on line with complainant, vehicle left. Patrols made with negative results.
10:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Avenue – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle. People were outside with a flashlight. Vehicle. Left. Member patrolled area, vehicle not located.
