The Town of Drayton Valley has appointed Troy Grant to the position of chief administrative officer (CAO).
Grant has served as the town’s general manager of town services, where officials say he demonstrated strong leadership, dedication and a clear commitment to the community.
“I am honoured to take on the role of chief administrative officer for the Town of Drayton Valley,” Grant comments. “It has been a privilege to serve this community, and I look forward to working with council, staff and residents to support the town’s continued growth and success.”
Grant offers over 25 years of senior leadership experience spanning municipal government, military service and private sector development. Before joining the town, he served as general manager of community services in Sturgeon County, where he steered a broad portfolio of programs and services while prioritizing transparent communication with council and the public.
Town officials say his background in the development industry has provided him with a grounded understanding of economic growth, infrastructure planning and community building. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his inclusive and collaborative leadership style that effectively brings different groups together to focus on a shared goal.
Town council thanks Jennifer Stone for her work as interim CAO over the last four months.
Grant was appointed to the position during a special town council meeting on July 8.
