The Town of Drayton Valley has extended the nomination deadline for its 2026 Mayor’s Gala Awards to July 31.
The Mayor’s Gala is an annual event showcasing the businesses, individuals and organizations that make the Drayton Valley community special.
Residents now have until July 31 to nominate community members in the following award categories:
- Arts and Athletics Excellence Award
- Community Spirit Award
- Employer of the Year Award
- Healthcare and Emergency Services Award
- Oil and Gas Award
- Youth Empowerment Award
Award winners will be announced and celebrated on Sept. 18 at the MacKenzie Conference Centre. Cocktails start at 5:30 p.m., dinner is at 6:30 p.m., and the awards follow. Semi-formal attire is recommended.
Previously, nominations were to close on June 30.
