Drayton Valley Mounties recently seized several firearms during a search warrant in Brazeau County.
The warrant was executed on June 25 at a rural address on Township Road 503.
As a result of the search warrant, the following was seized:
- Four firearms, including two prohibited firearms and prohibited magazines
- A 3D printer and 3D printed firearms parts
- Ammunition
- Other stolen property
A 33-year-old man has been charged with 23 criminal offences, including:
- Possession of firearms while prohibited
- Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm
- Possession of prohibited devices
- Possession of stolen property
After a Judicial Interim Release Hearing, the accused has been remanded in custody to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Leduc on July 2.
Drayton Valley RCMP to extend their thanks to the community for their assistance on this file, and for listening to the direction of officers while they worked in the area. They also thank supporting units, including Air Services and the Emergency response team in helping local officers execute the search warrant safely.
