One individual has died following a motor vehicle collision in Parkland County on Monday.
Around 11:04 a.m. on May 4, Parkland RCMP responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision between a southbound semi-truck and a northbound pickup truck near Township Road 524 and Highway 770. Both vehicles reportedly caught fire after the collision.
Police say the 62-year-old semi-truck driver was able to exit his vehicle, was assessed at the scene and transported to a hospital.
The sole occupant of the pickup truck was declared deceased at the scene.
Parkland RCMP extends its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
