An engagement opportunity for farm operators and producers begins today.
May 4 marks the start of Statistics Canada’s 2026 Census of Agriculture.
The government says it will use the data collected to act in the interest of farm operators, farming communities and agricultural associations across Canada.
Census data can help guide farm support programs and policies, economic growth and stability, emergency response to natural disasters, research, planning and advocacy.
The survey will be available at census.gc.ca, and more information is available here.
