An abandoned building at 4932 50 Avenue in Breton is scheduled for demolition in the near future.
The Village of Breton reports that prior to demolition, feral cats residing in the structure will be safely and humanely removed. The village says qualified personnel will do this work using appropriate animal welfare practices.
As the work is complete, residents may notice increased activity in the area. In the meantime, residents are asked to:
- Avoid the site
- Avoid interfering with animal control efforts
- Keep pets secure and away from the area
