March 5
10:50 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 St – Complainant reported being threatened by her roommate, due to a dispute over household responsibilities and bills. Member attended and spoke to the complainant, who did not want charges. The suspect explained they had also argued about a male and admitted to threatening the complainant. Member suggested they remain separated until things calmed down.
12:35 p.m. – Drayton Valley – RV Park – Complainant reported an unwanted male using the showers, and that there are ongoing issues with the male. Member attended and told the male to gather his stuff and leave. Trespass notice was issued to the male by a Town employee, and member suggested the door code be changed.
2:41 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported fraudulent charges on his Visa card, suspects the card was hacked overseas. The bank has refunded the loss, but advised him to report to police.
4:20 p.m. – Drayton Valley – area of the dump – Complainant reported a male walking with a firearm. Members attended and located a male and two females; the male had brandished a pellet gun due to alleged harassment and bullying of people residing in the homeless camp by teenagers. Member seized the pellet gun to prevent further calls.
March 6
5:38 a.m – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a female had been in a hotel, refusing to leave and being aggressive toward staff. Member attended, but the female had left to points unknown.
6:29 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Hospital – Obnoxious female from previous file now causing similar issues at the hospital. Member attended, and after some patient reasoning, the known female was given a ride to another location.
10:19 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Members located and arrested a male in possession of a 2018 Ram pickup reported stolen in Sherwood Park on January 18th. A 42-year-old was arrested for possession of stolen property as well as several outstanding warrants. He was held for a telephone bail hearing and remanded in custody by a justice of the peace.
3:06 p.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to investigate a possible threat made by a male during court proceedings.
4:17 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported finding an acquaintance deceased in his residence. Members investigated; death did not appear to be suspicious though the medical examiner is investigating further. Next of kin notifications completed.
5:30 p.m. – Poplar Ridge – Members located a male who was known to be arrestable for offences that occurred in late January 2026. A 33-year-old Drayton Valley resident was arrested and held for a telephone bail hearing on multiple charges, including two counts of possession of a weapon or prohibited device while prohibited, eight counts of possession of property obtained by crime, seven counts of possession of ID documents and two counts of possession of a credit card obtained by crime. They were remanded in custody by a justice of the peace.
6:01 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St/55 Ave – Complainant reported a male walking around near the intersection and appearing to be either intoxicated or in distress. Members patrolled the area but didn’t locate the male, though he was found on the subsequent file.
6:12 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a male who appeared to be passing out while eating his meal at a restaurant. Members attended and spoke to the male who was intoxicated but able to care for himself and planning to walk to a residence nearby and meet a friend.
March 7
1:13 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported a male shoplifted several items from a convenience store and casually walked out. Under investigation.
12:15 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Library – Staff reported a male refusing to leave the bathroom. Member attended and the male left without issue after being issued a trespassing notice.
March 8
6:09 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported feeling emotionally and physically sick but that he can’t afford an ambulance. Dispatch suggested he call the “988” line. Member attended the residence and made some suggestions on how to get assistance. Police have been called multiple times in the past couple of weeks for similar issues; alcohol consumption is a factor.
7:56 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant reported his ex messaged him and said her boyfriend had assaulted her sometime in the past week. Members attended a residence and located the current boyfriend with the female, even though he has conditions of no-contact. The male was arrested for failing to comply with a release order and assault and held for a telephone bail hearing; he was subsequently remanded in custody by a justice of the peace.
March 9
7:15 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Members attended a residence to assist EMS with a male claiming suicidal thoughts. On arrival the male cracked a beer and said he was going to bed. Ongoing issues with this male when he has been drinking (see March 8 at 6:09 pm). RPACT (rural police and crisis team) referral sent.
8:36 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported that she tried to get a loan online and when asked, she provided her Canada Revenue Agency login and password. No money was taken and she had already been in contact with the CRA. Member provided some additional advice on how to proceed.
11:28 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported seeing a male assaulting a female in a pickup truck in the McDonalds parking lot. Members attended and located a matching truck nearby and conducted a traffic stop. The male driver was detained and after investigation, arrested for assaulting his female passenger. The male was held for a telephone bail hearing and subsequently released by a justice of the peace with conditions. Two unrelated outstanding warrants were also dealt with.
5:45 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious older Dodge pickup. The driver pulled into a residence, got out and walked away. The male was located and arrested for obstructing a peace officer. Further investigation led to the driver being issued several tickets including for having no insurance or registration. Additionally, the driver was issued a provincial impaired (by drug) suspension and the truck was seized.
7:36 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Members attended a residence to assist paramedics for a report that an adult daughter and elderly mother had a physical dispute. The mother was transported to hospital for unrelated treatment and members determined the fight had been consensual. Suggestions were provided for community resources as the issues may be aging related.
10:31 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing a minor offence. No ticket was issued but a male passenger was arrested as he was breaching his curfew. A 36-year-old was held for a telephone bail hearing on a charge of failing to comply with a release order. He was subsequently released by a justice of the peace with a court date.
10:44 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Members attended a residence to assist paramedics with a suicidal male. The male was assessed and treated at hospital and then apprehended under the Mental Health Act by a member, who then transported the male to a designated facility for treatment.
March 10
6:37 a.m. – Poplar Ridge area – Complainant reported a suspicious white and red GM pickup truck, looked like occupants were scoping out properties and vehicles. The truck was then seen stopped by the store with the hood open. Members located the truck and determined that the driver was impaired by drugs; a provincial impaired driving suspension and the truck was seized for a 30-day impound. File under investigation for potential other offences.
6:59 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St/50 Ave – Staff at a convenience store reported a female, possibly intoxicated, was refusing to leave. Member attended and the known female requested paramedics for a medical concern. Paramedics transported the female to hospital.
9:27 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported a vacant residence damaged over the past few days. Under investigation, unclear initially if there was a break-in.
4:45 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported that an ex-coworker was threatening him, likely in relation to his recent arrest for an assault. Member spoke to the complainant who did not want further action.
9:41 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Staff at a store reported a suspicious black Ram truck in the parking lot. A male had got out of the truck, walked around the lot and then told the complainant that it was his truck and to not call police. Member attended the area, but the truck had left and there were multiple similar trucks around town.
10:20 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after seeing a pickup run a stale yellow light. Member issued a MAS (mandatory alcohol screening) demand, and the driver provided breath samples, which resulted in a “caution.” Member issued a three-day provincial impaired driving suspension and the truck was seized for seven days.
March 11
12:29 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Paramedics requested assistance at a hotel where a female was reporting an assault. Members spoke to the known female who was rambling on about being assaulted by a male acquaintance, though none of the ramblings made much sense. The female was transported to hospital by paramedics to be assessed though she did not have any apparent injuries.
11:24 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Hospital – Staff requested assistance in removing the female brought in by paramedics earlier (see 12:29 a.m.). The female was removed from the building.
11:38 a.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to investigate alleged distribution of intimate images.
12:10 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Hospital – Staff reported that the female removed from the hospital 45 minutes earlier had returned. Member attended and removed the female who was told to not return without a legitimate medical reason.
12:29 p.m. – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 492 – Complainant reported a male was skateboarding west of town, and when the complainant went to pass him, the male threw a shovel at her car. Member patrolled the area but did not locate the male or his shovel.
2:42 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 St – Complainant reported her boyfriend had been punched in the chest by a female in a store. There had been a verbal dispute that escalated. Under investigation.
5:03 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported a female friend mentioning bizarre things involving the female and a fight with a male. Related to the report received at 12:29 a.m.
11:55 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant reported a group had left the bar in a vehicle and the driver may be impaired. Member located the vehicle and issued a 24-hour suspension.
