A Stony Plain man accused of child sex-related offences is slated to find out this fall if his case has enough evidence to go to trial.
Brian Jenkins, 44, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Stony Plain Court of Justice from Sept. 22-25, 2026.
On April 27, 2025, Parkland RCMP observed a vehicle allegedly driving in a concerning manner and conducted a traffic stop. While investigating, police determined the driver was breaching court-imposed conditions prohibiting him from contacting anyone under the age of 16.
From there, the Parkland RCMP Special Investigations Unit took over the investigation and identified four victims related to several other alleged offences.
As a result, Jenkins was arrested and charged with:
- Sexual interference
- Invitation to sexual touching
- Make sexually explicit material available to a minor
- Child luring
- Making child sexual abuse and exploitation material (x2)
- Possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material (x2)
- Accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Breach of prohibition order (x4)
Jenkins was remanded into custody.
RCMP believe there may be additional victims and encourage those individuals to come forward. Mounties say photos of Jenkins have been provided to assist potential victims in his identification, and police note the more tightly-cropped photo with the dark collared top is the most recent.
