On Monday, Jan. 19, Brazeau County council appointed an Agricultural Fieldman and updated the Ag-28 ASB Bursary Policy.
Council appointed Dawnia McCann as the county’s Agricultural Fieldman, as per the requirements of the Agricultural Service Board Act.
Liz Seutter-Rosell temporarily filled the role while McCann was on maternity leave.
The Agricultural Fieldman collaborates with the Agricultural Service Board to implement policies and programs that manage the municipality’s agricultural resources.
Council also approved an updated bursary policy that now requires all recipients of the Agricultural Service Board (ASB) Bursary to provide a written or in-person follow-up report to the ASB outlining how the funds were utilized and key outcomes from their program.
Reports must be submitted within 60 days of completing the year the funding was utilized for.
