Drayton Valley Thunder goaltender Archer Cooke has signed with the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League (WHL), and a new goaltender has joined the team in his place.
Born in 2007, Cooke earned a .921 save percentage with a 2.95 goals against average to go along with a 6-4-1 record during his time with Drayton Valley.
The first-year goaltender was also named the AJHL’s Rookie of the Week for Dec. 1-7, 2025.
The Thunder organization thanks Cooke for his dedication and commitment on and off the ice, and wishes him success in Swift Current.

In his place, the Thunder has added 2008-born goaltender Kellen Salter to the roster.
Salter started the season with the Calgary Buffaloes U18 AAA (AEHL U18), appearing in 12 games and posting a 2.67 goals against average, a .921 save percentage and 6-5-1 record.
