Just after 7 a.m. on Nov. 27, Parkland RCMP responded to a three-vehicle collision on Highway 16A near 231 Street in Parkland County.
Police say an allegedly impaired driver was travelling eastbound in the westbound lane, side-swiping one vehicle and colliding head-on with another.
The allegedly impaired driver, a 42-year-old resident of Edmonton, was arrested and transported to the Parkland RCMP detachment, where he was charged with impaired operation of a conveyance.
One of the other drivers was transported to the hospital in Edmonton with minor injuries, and the third walked away uninjured. Police say all three vehicles had extensive damage.
