A Parkland County resident has been arrested for allegedly stealing property worth over $150,000.
On Sept. 29 at 2:15 a.m., Parkland RCMP responded to a complaint about a stolen skid steer that was being tracked via GPS by the owners, to a location near Range Road 271 and Highway 16A.
Officers report locating the skid steer on a large flatbed being towed by a stolen GMC truck. Police stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver.
As a result, a 46-year-old Parkland County resident was charged with:
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000 (x3)
- Possession of stolen property under $5,000
- Breach of probation order
- Breach of release order
He was remanded into custody and scheduled to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Stony Plain on Oct. 1.
