The Fleas ’n Fun Farmers Market and Garage Sale gets underway for the first time this Saturday in Drayton Valley.
Taking place at Buck Creek Golf and Lodge, the event is a fundraiser for Cause for Critters, a non-profit animal shelter.
“My husband and I are just huge animal lovers and we just feel like they just don’t get enough help or a break in life,” commented Charlotte Sloan, co-owner of the golf course, on the inspiration for the event.
Activities run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., including plenty for the kids. Attendees can expect bouncy houses and an inflatable obstacle course that can also act as a water feature – so be sure to bring bathing suits for the kids if they want to take a run at it.
A dunk tank and car show will also offer entertainment during the day.
Taking off at 2 p.m. is a rubber duck race, and Sloan shares all the details on what to expect.
Also, you won’t want to miss the pig roast dinner with all the fixings to cap the evening off. Tickets are $30, or $15 for children 14 and under.
