Throw it back to the ’90s this Friday night at the Small Town Big Life Street Party in Drayton Valley.
This year’s theme is: “The ’90s: A Decade of Grit and Growth,” and comes complete with a MuchMusic Video Dance Party to kick things off at 5 p.m.
“The ’90s was a really good time in Drayton Valley… you saw a lot of growth in Drayton during that time,” says Ryan Finn, co-chair of the Drayton Valley Community Foundation, who explained the choice of theme.
Next, you can head to the beer gardens to enjoy Shiny Big Tunes at 8 p.m.
There will also be a Kids’ Zone with plenty of activities for the littles, including games with River Valley Players, inflatables, a sand pit and possibly a puppet show.
Finn outlines all the different treats you can take a bite of.
Every attendee gets one free meal ticket, and there are more available for purchase for $7 each.
All the action takes place on Main Street, August 22, from 5 p.m. to midnight. Debit machines and ATM’s will both be on site.
