The Drayton Valley Thunder has announced Mark Mogus will be the team’s equipment manager for the upcoming season.
He recently completed his business diploma in sport management from Saskatchewan Polytechnic, where he is said to have gained valuable practical experience through volunteer roles with the Saskatchewan Roughriders equipment staff, as an assistant equipment manager for Prairie Hockey Academy, and in game day operations for the Saskatchewan Rush.
As equipment manager, the organization says Mogus will be responsible for the comprehensive care and management of all team equipment, ensuring it’s in optimal condition for practices and games.
“His enthusiasm for the game and commitment to learning were evident through the interview process,” commented General Manager and Head Coach Jeff Truitt. “While he may be newer to the professional equipment manager role, we’re confident that his dedication, combined with our experienced staff, will quickly develop him into a valuable and integral member of our team.”
Mogus said he looks forward to learning from the other team members and is thankful for the opportunity.
