The Drayton Valley Recycling Depot is on the move.
The Town recently made the announcement on its Facebook page.
Officials say the recycling depot will be moving to a new location, just outside the front gates of the Drayton Valley landfill. This will grant residents 24-hour per day, seven days-a-week access to the recycling centre.
This also means that residents will no longer have to cross the scales or be charged to enter the landfill just use the facility.
Other benefits of the new location include reducing safety concerns that result from illegal dumping, and eliminating annual leasing costs at the previous site.
