May 29
10:46 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant requested assistance in removing unwanted guests from a hotel. Members attended and removed several people as requested. A quantity of crystal methamphetamine was located in a drawer and seized for destruction.
May 30
10:30 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported fraud on her Visa card. Complainant provided her PIN for refund of a travel purchase and her card was then charged about $1,000. Under investigation.
3:10 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported a utility trailer that had been left roadside due to mechanical issues, was gone when he went to pick it up two days later. Incident occurred between May 17 and 19.
5:38 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Hwy 22 – Members attended near the sawmill for a hangup 911 call. A motorcyclist was located crashed in the ditch. The 55-year-old rider was transported to hospital in Edmonton via STARS for treatment of apparent serious injuries.
May 31
7:16 a.m. – Drayton Valley – area of the dump – Complainant reported a plume of smoke from the area of the homeless camp. Member attended with firefighter’s; a smouldering garbage pile was located and extinguished.
9:54 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported a possible hostage situation as he believed his daughter was being held against her will. Members eventually located the daughter at a residence with a male. Members determined there was no hostage situation and that there had been a misunderstanding over some text messages. A male at the residence was found to have warrants out of Edmonton and B.C., and was arrested and held for a bail hearing. A motorcycle was also seized from the property as it was suspected to have been stolen. Under investigation to determine status of motorcycle and possible additional charges.
11:46 a.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to document assistance to Edmonton Police for the arrest of the male on the previous file. As per the direction of EPS, the male was released to appear in court at a later date.
June 1
3:42 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 St – Complainant reported damage to a fence behind a business. Surveillance video showed a white SUV run into the fence at about 10:45 a.m. and then drive off. Neither the SUV or driver could be identified as the video was not clear enough.
June 2
3:41 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported wire and a quantity of batteries stolen from an infrastructure site; occurred sometime over the previous night.
3:54 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported a taxi drove past a school bus with it’s red lights out and flashing. Under investigation.
6:52 p.m. – Drayton Valley/Brazeau County – Members were advised earlier in the day that a male from the area was unlawfully at large, after leaving a healing lodge. Members learned the male had been seen in the afternoon driving around in a distinctive vehicle. Members located that vehicle at an associate’s residence in Brazeau County and arrested the male while he was climbing out a window. The male was lodged in cells and transported back into custody of Correctional Services of Canada by Sheriffs. The males name is being withheld at this time as there are additional charges being considered.
June 3
1:56 a.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Member on patrol attempted a traffic stop on a suspicious white pickup, but the driver fled. Plate number obtained, but it was not a match to the truck. Member did not continue the pursuit and the truck was lost after heading South on RR 83.
11:11 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 51 Ave – Member was at the court house and observed a male known to have a warrant out of Calgary Police. The male was arrested and held for a telephone bail hearing. The male was released by a Justice of the Peace with a court date and conditions.
6:40 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 43 St – Complainant reported two youth on the roof of a school. Members attended and located both youths. Parents attended and were unimpressed by the choices their children had made. No damage done and the boys may be performing some volunteer tasks for the school.
June 4
8:27 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 St – Complainant reported her van broken into overnight and ID, rewards cards and other miscellaneous items were stolen. Van had been left unlocked. Under investigation.
9:29 a.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to investigate drug trafficking from a residence.
12:19 p.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to charge a female who failed to appear in court.
3:13 p.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to charge a male who failed to attend court.
2:49 p.m. – Brazeau County – Easyford area – Complainant reported communications cables cut and stolen, occurred sometime in the previous 24 hours.
7:14 p.m. – Brazeau County – RR 85 – Complainant reported that within the previous hour someone had cut a gate on his property and stolen several jerry cans of gas. A grey and black truck with a slip tank in the bed was seen on video surveillance, but no plate was obtained. Vehicle not located.
June 5
1:05 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant reported he was assaulted by an acquaintance in his residence. Members attended and noticed a cut on the complainant’s forehead; a male suspect was arrested. The male was held in cells overnight to sober up and released to appear in court at a later date.
