8:52 a.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to charge a female for failing to appear in court.
11:04 a.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to charge a male for failing to appear in court.
May 23
9:43 a.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to charge a female who failed to appear in court.
9:39 a.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22/Twp Rd 494 – Members attended the location for a report of a two-vehicle collision. Three people from an SUV and the driver from a pickup truck were transported to hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck was issued two violation tickets.
10:03 a.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported that he went fishing near the bridge and after parking his truck, several males approached and asked for cigarettes. Complainant gave them some, but when they asked for more he declined. After fishing, he returned to find his truck had been scratched, possibly keyed. The three males were described as in their 20’s and driving a black SUV.
11:49 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 51 St – Complainant reported a possible attempted break and enter that occurred overnight. Member attended, minor marks on door and frame indicated someone likely tried to pry the door without success. No evidence available to track down any suspects and no entry gained to the business.
May 24
12:14 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Staff at the bar reported that one patron was assaulted by another. Members attended, the victim reported someone asked him where he was from, and when he responded, the male punched him in the face. The suspect had since left. Under investigation; suspect described as a Caucasian male, large build, wearing a gray hoodie and jeans. The suspect was believed to have been intoxicated at the time of the assault.
May 25
7:55 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant reported that a female, who he is on conditions not to contact, is continuously attending his residence and actively trying to put him in situations where he would be breaching conditions. About a half hour later the complainant’s roommate reported the female was back, banging on windows trying to initiate contact. Members attended and located the female walking toward the residence. The female was arrested for mischief and harassment and secured in the police vehicle. While members were speaking to people in the residence the female began kicking and screaming in the police vehicle. When told to stop, the female uttered threats to the member. Due to her behaviour, she was lodged in cells to await a telephone bail hearing. A 43-year-old resident of Drayton Valley was charged with uttering threats, harassment and two counts of mischief. The woman was subsequently released with conditions and a court date by a justice of the peace.
May 26
11:13 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported fraudulent transactions on her bank account after her debit card went missing. A female, who police were already dealing with on an unrelated matter, was arrested and given a date to appear in court.
5:42 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 48 St – Complainant reported that while working in the area he left his phone plugged in to charge outside a residence, with permission, but when he returned it was gone. Under investigation.
6:05 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported a male smashed a car window with an axe or possibly a saw after they went to a residence looking for some missing keys. Members attended and deciphered the dispute and circumstances. Two males were arrested, one from each side of the dispute. Both were eventually released to appear in court at a later date, and a makeshift weapon was seized. Court pending for both accused.
May 27
5:47 a.m. – Brazeau County – Members responded to a report of a deceased male. Members determined that the death was likely caused by an overdose. Medical Examiner’s office will be investigating further.
9:56 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainants reported losing about $16,000 trying to withdraw crypto-currency. Under investigation.
1:34 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Power Ctr Blvd – Complainant reported that a male and female had been in a store that they are already banned from entering. Under investigation, incident occurred on the 25th.
1:54 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported a fraudulent purchase made from her bank account. Complainant had already notified the bank and is out $31. Under investigation.
5:08 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Power Ctr Blvd – Complainant reported the theft of a paddle board.
5:21 p.m.– Drayton Valley – Complainant reported the fraudulent purchase of a vehicle that occurred on May 22nd. The complainant sold the vehicle to a female in Drayton Valley, and subsequently learned that the cheque was fraudulently signed and likely stolen. Under investigation; suspect identified and charges are likely.
8:07 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Rotary Park – Complainant reported a male had been seen drinking in the park and had now fallen onto the grass. Members attended and located an intoxicated male; the male was arrested for being intoxicated in public and lodged in cells to sober up.
May 28
5:10 a.m. – Yellowhead County – Elk River Rd area – Report from oilfield security of a trespasser on a lease site, likely stealing fuel. Members attended but the suspect was no longer in the area.
9:55 a.m. – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge area – Complainant reported his Jeep stolen from the Drayton Valley area. The complainant received a call from RCMP in B.C. about the Jeep, which was supposed to be parked in Drayton Valley area. Under investigation, awaiting more information from B.C. RCMP.
10:05 a.m. – Poplar Ridge – Complainant reported squatters in a trailer; the occupants have been served an eviction notice, but remain living in the trailer. Member spoke to the complainant and advised him of the process that must be followed, and that police will assist a bailiff when needed.
1:53 p.m. – Yellowhead County – Complainant reported that sometime over the past two months someone fired a rifle at his recreational cabin, which penetrated the building and damaged kitchen cabinets. Under investigation.
2:16 p.m. – Yellowhead County – Complainant completed an online report of theft from a lease site; fuel and tools missing. Same incident reported at 5:10 a.m. Under investigation.
4:26 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Members attended a senior’s home for a report of an elderly female found deceased. Not suspicious, investigation turned over to the Medical Examiner.
5:13 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Ave – Complainant reported that a neighbour sped into a parking area, driving over grass and almost hitting her son. Member investigated and a ticket was issued.
5:46 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 44 St – Complainant reported coming home from work and having his girlfriend start throwing his stuff around and yelling at him. Complainant asked her to leave and told her the relationship was over. The female then went out and began kicking his truck. The female later called in reporting she had been punched and kicked by the male. Members met the female at the hospital and observed no signs of injury, and noted that the female appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. Under investigation.
May 29
12:37 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported loud music coming from a nearby restaurant/bar. Member attended and determined that music was still on through patio speakers, even though the premises were closed. Member unable to contact anyone from the business, complainant will speak to town bylaw about the issues.
1:32 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 44 St – Complainant reported being awoken by his dog after two suspects entered his residence. When the complainant made his way to the door the two males were running out the door. Members patrolled the area but didn’t locate the males. Member advised the complainant to lock his door; unclear if they were intending to commit a crime or possibly intoxicated and entered the wrong residence.
5:07 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported that suspects may have stolen items from his hotel room. Under investigation, offences not yet confirmed.
