Skiers, strap in, because the Pembina Nordic Ski Club’s 50th Anniversary Brewski hits the trails this Friday.
On March 13, from 6:30-10 p.m., attendees can enjoy bonfires, music, craft beer flights and groomed ski trails.
This is the club’s third time hosting the event, which also celebrates 50 years of operations.
Skiers can take the 800 metre Stadium Loop, which will be partially lit. The club says the route is beginner-friendly, with gradual slopes. At the beginning of each event, each skier receives a flight of four beer samples, which change every round.
Nodding Donkey Brewing will supply drinks this year, and representatives will be on location to talk about the brews and answer any questions attendees may have.
Hot cider is also available as an alcohol-free option.
The club recommends attendees bring a headlamp and a designated driver, plus a positive attitude and a friend to enjoy it with.
Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 at the door and $10 if you only intend to drink cider.
Those without skis can book a rental online by emailing the club at pembinanordicrentals@gmail.com.
