October 16
8:58 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported booster cables and ground wire stolen from a lease site.
10:23 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant requested a police file number as her ex kicked in her door, and she needed to advise the landlord. Member spoke to the complainant who made several other allegations which upon investigation were not found to be criminal. File number issued.
2:10 p.m. – Parkland County – Complainant reported he is watching a property while the owner is away, and that the owner’s ex had been taking items. Members attended, no one was at the location though a second caller reported damage to an ATV. Under investigation.
3:22 p.m. – Parkland County – Members on scene for an earlier file located a backhoe that had been stolen in St Albert last December. Backhoe seized, under investigation.
4:47 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member conducted a traffic stop on a pickup as the plate did not belong on the truck and had been archived. Investigation determined that neither the truck nor plate were stolen, though the plate was registered to a male now reported deceased. The driver was issued tickets and a court date as he was driving without insurance and while suspended. The truck was also impounded.
4:48 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Power Ctr Blvd – Complainant reported a female had shoplifted and left in a red car. Member investigated and charges are pending against a female once she is located.
October 17
12:28 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Hospital – Staff reported an intoxicated, belligerent patient refusing to leave with no medical reason to stay. Members attended and arrested the female who was held in cells until sober and issued a ticket under the Gaming, Cannabis and Liquor Act.
9:33 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported a gazebo at a senior’s building broken into overnight. Damage to screening and cigarette ashtrays stolen or dumped. No suspects identified.
10:54 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported a blue car with no plate seen driving onto a lease site. Members located the car with a plate attached and three occupants. A female who identified herself as the driver was issued several tickets for obvious offences.
11:47 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 Ave – Complainant reported a female in distress on the road, yelling for help. Member located a known female who said her back was seizing. Paramedics attended and transported her to hospital for treatment.
October 18
4:15 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant requested police assistance in removing an intoxicated female from his apartment. Members attended and arrested the female and lodged her in cells to sober up.
9:07 a.m. – Brazeau County – Members attended for a report of a dispute between a mother and son. No police intervention was needed, but members found the son had a warrant from Edmonton Police, which was dealt with at the scene.
10:28 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a homeless male who waits for others to enter an apartment building and tries to gain access. Member located the male and told him again to stay off private property. He has been issued several previous tickets for similar offences.
7:49 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported an unwanted homeless male in the foyer of an apartment building. Member attended and arrested the male who was held until sober and released to appear in court at a later date.
October 19
5:10 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported his ATV stolen from his hotel parking lot. The ATV is a yellow and grey 2022 Yamaha Grizzly. Under investigation.
9:59 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported a motel room broken into and several room appliances missing. Under investigation.
12:03 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported someone tried to steal cable from a communications tower site. No suspects identified.
12:56 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported attending her ex’s residence that she owns, and that the ex threatened her. Members attended and a male was arrested for uttering threats and released to appear in court.
9:08 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant attended the detachment to turn in a small earbud case found at a local cardlock containing a crystal substance. Member determined the case contained 12 grams of methamphetamine which will be properly destroyed. If you are reading this and missing your meth, do not bother attending the detachment as we won’t return it to you.
October 20
3:20 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St/50 Ave – Third party complaint that a male assaulted a female outside a convenience store. Members attended but both persons had left the area, possibly as they both have outstanding warrants. Members unable to reach the potential victim.
11:03 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported a breach of no-contact conditions by a male suspect. Under investigation.
12:30 p.m. – Brazeau County – Lodgepole area – Complainant reported conduit and cables cut on a lease site causing about $10,000 in damage. No evidence to identify any suspects.
2:27 p.m. – Poplar Ridge area – Complainant reported a break-in to a business yard that occurred over the previous few days. Under investigation.
3:42 p.m. – Yellowhead County – Complainant reported copper cable stolen from a lease site sometime over the past few days. Under investigation.
October 21
8:58 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Emergency Protection Order received for service on a male. The male attended the detachment and was served.
10:25 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 St – Complainant reported a male had erected a tent by the shelter pods. Drayton Valley Enforcement Services attended and dealt with the issue.
12:02 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Members were advised by a town Peace Officer of an intoxicated male walking around with a stick and calling himself the wounded warrior. Members located the male who was enroute with a wrench hoping to get a job at a local tire shop. Members arrested the male who was held in cells until sober.
1:47 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported damage to his truck that occurred overnight in his hotel parking lot. Video surveillance shows someone jumping on the truck, but a suspect could not be identified.
October 22
8:00 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol located a stolen license plate on a truck. Member determined the driver was unaware and the truck had valid registration and insurance. Plate seized, likely the original plate had been swapped onto a stolen truck by an unknown suspect.
9:17 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 55A St – Complainant reported a 2005 GMC Yukon stolen from a business overnight. Complainant reported the truck has mechanical issues and may not go far. Under investigation.
9:35 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 St – Complainant reported garbage and bedding left beside a business, likely related to the shelter pods. Member forwarded the information to Drayton Valley Enforcement Services.
11:44 a.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to charge a male with failing to appear in court and for fingerprinting.
1:50 p.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to charge a female who failed to appear in court.
2:49 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Members attended a parking lot for a report of an elderly male having difficulty parking. Members located the male in a business and found he had a warrant for driving while unauthorized. The male was arrested and released to appear in court for the warrant, and issued new tickets for driving unauthorized, driving without insurance and having no valid registration. The vehicle was towed.
7:13 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Complainant reported a female in dark clothing trying to wave down passing vehicles. Member attended and located a known female who was given a courtesy ride to her destination for her own safety.
10:22 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Complainant reported suspects in a dark pickup trespassing on a lease site. Members attended but the suspects were gone from the area. Employee on scene did not find any damage.
10:50 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported that a male acquaintance had assaulted her. Members attended but the male fled on an ATV. The male was subsequently located and apprehended, though he had to be taken to hospital for treatment. The male was released on an undertaking with a court date.
October 23
12:23 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant reported seeing her ex parked outside her residence and that she is on no-contact conditions with him but believes he had been assaulted by another male. Under investigation.
2:24 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 51 Ave – Complainant reported her daughter had been assaulted at her residence by an acquaintance invited over after a birthday party. The suspect had fled after the incident. Under investigation.
5:01 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 63 St – Complainant reported a male sleeping in his truck in a business parking lot. Member attended and spoke to the known male who had in fact been sleeping in his truck. Member advised that he needed to find a different location as the business did not want people sleeping there.
