A trial date has been set for a Drayton Valley man charged in an alleged road rage incident causing a crash between two vehicles earlier this year.
Kevin Hornle, 55, is scheduled for trial in Drayton Valley Court of Justice on June 9, 2026.
He’s charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm, and aggravated assault.
It was on May 20, 2025, around 5:20 a.m. when RCMP responded to a collision on the south side of Drayton Valley.
Officers report the vehicles had been travelling eastbound on Highway 22 near 50 Street when they collided, causing one to roll over into the westbound ditch. The driver of this vehicle was extracted by Drayton Valley Fire Services and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The other driver was arrested after an investigation led police to believe it was a road rage incident.
Kevin Hornle was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions.
“We would like to thank the public for their cooperation while we conducted our investigation,” said Sgt. Dan Ferri, operations NCO for Drayton Valley RCMP, in a media release following the incident. “This is a good time to remind the public to be courteous on the road and always drive safely.”
