Due to forecasted weather conditions, a fire advisory is now in effect for Brazeau County and the Town of Drayton Valley.
As of 5 p.m. on Oct. 14, outdoor burning is permitted with a fire permit or in an approved fire pit or burning appliance.
Under the advisory, the following fires are permitted:
- Outdoor burning with an approved fire permit
- Internal household fireplaces
- Incinerators (for farm and acreage use)
- Burn barrels (no larger than 45 gallons)
- Solid fuel barbecues (charcoal briquettes)
- Bylaw-compliant backyard camping fires
- Fires contained within approved facilities or appliances in designated camping and recreation areas
- Portable propane fire pits and appliances
This advisory will be in effect until further notice.
