Three Drayton Valley residents are on Team Alberta’s roster for the 2025 Baseball Canada 18U National Championships.
The competition started Aug. 14, running until Aug. 17, with Riley and Kayden Dusterhoft, and Teagan Colford representing the Drayton Valley region.
Fort McMurray is hosting, its fourth time doing so since 2018.
The event will host 264 athletes and is expected to attract as many as 1,000 spectators to the region.
The Government of Alberta provided the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo with $57,000 through the Major Sport Event grant program to support the tournament.
