An investigation into the disappearance of a missing B.C. teen is bringing a Vancouver-based documentary crew to Drayton Valley.
Finding Jodi is a documentary about the disappearance of Jodi Henrickson, from Squamish, who was 17 at the time. She was last seen on June 19, 2009, on Miller Road on Bowen Island, allegedly with her ex-boyfriend, Gavin Arnott.

Despite police efforts at the time, her body was never found and no one was ever charged, the filmmakers report. This year marks 16 years since her disappearance.
Recently, the crew had a “credible tip” phoned in to the documentary’s hotline, claiming someone in Drayton Valley has information about the case. As a result, the team will be in the region July 7-8 to follow up and, hopefully, get Henrickson’s name out to more people in the area who could have information.
“Perhaps somebody has heard parts of a story over the years, but never knew Jodi’s story. We are hoping by raising awareness that people might be able to connect some dots and come forward to us,” commented Jenni Baynham, executive producer on the project.
Crew members will be interviewing those who have contacted the film through its tip line and conducting a poster campaign in an effort to find more information.
Producers explain, “If someone has come in contact with anyone who they thought, or believed, professed intimate knowledge or understanding of the case, we would ask that they contact us.”
If you have information related to this case, the producers ask you to reach out by calling the tip line at 236-712-3349, filling out an online form, or emailing findingjodi@gmail.com.
