Two people are dead following a collision in Leduc County over the weekend.
On June 28, 2025, at approximately 8:14 p.m., Thorsby/Breton RCMP responded to the report of a serious collision involving a Dodge Ram and a Chevrolet Silverado on Highway 778 at Township Road 490 in Leduc County.
Thorsby/Breton RCMP attended along with Emergency Medical Services and area Fire Departments to the scene. Mounties say two occupants of the Chevrolet Silverado, a 31-year-old female and 30-year-old male were pronounced deceased at the scene. The 41-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram, however, was taken to a local medical facility to be further assessed for injuries.
Although the collision is still under investigation, Thorsby/Breton RCMP’s preliminary investigation indicates the Dodge Ram was heading westbound along Township 490 and failed to stop at the stop sign where it collided with the Chevrolet Silverado that was headed northbound on Highway 778.
The Alberta RCMP extends its condolences to the loved ones of the deceased.
