County officials say yesterday, firefighters were setting up sprinkler protection units in Mercoal before continuing to Robb for the same preparations.
According to the Government of Alberta, Monday saw cooler temperatures, however increased temperatures and lower humidity are forecasted for the next few days, which could lead to more favorable conditions for wildfire behaviour. Winds are forecasted to come from the west, possibly moving any fire activity towards the east, it adds.
