The Town of Drayton Valley is extending the contract of Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Pat Vincent, for another six months, following the retirement of former CAO Wally Ferris late last year.
Mayor and council approved the extension during its May 7 meeting, allowing Vincent to continue serving as Interim CAO under the same terms and conditions outlined in his original employment agreement, signed on Nov. 12, 2024. The current contract, initially set to expire on May 12, 2025, will now be extended until as late as November 2025.
Vincent has been guiding municipal administration in a temporary capacity since Ferris’s departure.
Ferris, who began his tenure as CAO in November 2023, announced his retirement at a regular meeting of council on Oct. 2, 2024.
