1) Why are you running to be a Member of Parliament?
I find the current state of politics is a mess of misinformation and large party showboating. I want to help move the nation forward and to get results for members of my riding of Leduc-Wetaskiwin.
2) Why should people vote for you, and what skills do you have that make you suitable for this role?
I have spent my adult life working in the public sector helping people. I want to bring my work ethic to Ottawa and continue working hard for the people of my riding of Leduc-Wetaskiwin, ensuring that our voice is heard, and we get the results we want to see moving the nation and riding forward.
3) What will you advocate for; and do you intend to fully tow the party line?
If elected, I would fight to ensure our democracy delivers on its promises. This may mean that I may have to step back from “towing the party line” to make sure the voices of Leduc-Wetaskiwin are heard. Fortunately, The Canadian Future Party encourages its members to always voice its concerns over party politics, where backbench MPs are free to vote according to their constituents—not their party leader.
4) How do you believe Canada’s federal government should tackle its current predicament with the United States, and where do you sit on Canadian sovereignty?
“Where do you sit on Canadian sovereignty?”. This is a simple question to answer. “I was born Canadian; I will die Canadian”. Canada’s sovereignty in my opinion isn’t in question. How we project our strength is however, but we are already showing it. Buying Canadian, removing interprovincial trade barriers, diversifying our economy away from US Markets, supporting our armed forces and our communities, these are all powerful steps in showing the world who we are.
