Officials with the Town of Drayton Valley have received a Development Permit Application (DPA) for the establishment of a home-based business in the area of 48 Street and 52 Avenue.
The applicant wishes to offer psychology services out of their home and is requesting to amend the Land Use Bylaw to increase the number of daily visitors from five to 10, with no more than two visitors on site at a time.
As this area is zoned for low-density residential, a home-based business cannot be approved without public notification.
Officials say any residents who feel this business may negatively impact their quality of life or the value of their property have until 4:00 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 3, to submit an appeal.
Appeals can be submitted:
- In person at the Town of Drayton Valley Civic Centre (5120, 52 Street).
- By regular mail – Box 6837, Drayton Valley, AB, T7A-1A1
- Emailing the Planning and Development department at plandev@draytonvalley.ca
Anyone with further questions are being asked to contact the Planning and Development department at 780-514-2219, or by emailing plandev@draytonvalley.ca.
